Bjork taking her weirdo pop throne with a batch of her most impressive vocals, most intricate and grad instrumentals, and electronic Attitude. Caressing and punching you at the same time. Only low point is the final song which feels like an anticlimactic ending. Bachelorette may just be her best track ever though.
No filler Doom in his classic rap bag. Just interesting unique instrumentals with his classic wordy rhymes. The title track especially is a production highlight with how crazy it gets. And the Open Mic Nights are super unique appreciated additions.
Easily DOOM's most villainous and aggressive work. Makes me wish we had almost gotten more of this earlier. Easily one of his strongest works and a testament to just how lyrically cut throat he could be when he wanted to be. Some of the best instrumentals he worked on too; every J Dilla beat is such a highlight. Can't say I'm overly fond of the guydude voice overs though. Sounds like a beer belly punk rocker trying to match the weird quirk of Madlib's sampled interstitials.
A solid debut from the masked villain. Some classic soulful instrumentals and catchy rhymes. More simplistic than my preference but a homebrewed classic with a lot of heart.
Edit: (92 -> 95): Grows more beautiful, thought-provoking, emotional, and artistically inspiring every day. God bless lingy.
This album Saved me! A super unique mix of instrumentals and folk interpolations of strange hymns and more. An incredibly detailed atmosphere for Hayter's journey through self healing.
A heart wrenching debut for Lingy. Some of her most ambitious instrumental epics.
A great debut for the legendary Outkast. Filled with so much infectious swagger and fun, you just can't help but groove and feel like a dirty south low riding pimp
A solid and needed personal experience from Danny. Just maybe not his most creative or dynamic.
