Boards of Canada - Prophecy At 1420 MHz

Crazy how timeless this is lol

Drake - Honestly, Nevermind
95

I just like house music ig

Tchami - After Life
100

My personal number 1 EP. Future House is already my favourite house genre and this EP is at the genres peak. Makes sense of course, coming from the guy who invented the genre in the first place.

Flume - Hi This Is Flume

Better have some good speakers when listening to this

Kanye West - BULLY

When he said no AI, I did get my hopes up a bit. Sadly, it wasnt true once again

Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született
59

The concept is certainly unique but I get why Venetian Snares only made one album like this. There are a few outliers on this album where the fusion between Classical and Breakcore seems to work out but most of the stuff feels like it was made just for the sake to know what it would sound like. Not to mention that I think Venetian Snares has much better works in his discographie and this album is kind of overshadowing that, simply because it has a one of a kind concept.

Hazbin Hotel - Hazbin Hotel: Season One (Original Soundtrack)
12

Havent watched the second season yet but there is definitely room for improvement on here. The production sounds blant and the vocals are painfull at times.

Disclosure - Alchemy
80

Always great to see artists just do whatever they want once they are away from a Label contract. This is a nice house project with quality and diversity. Higher Than Ever Before, We Were In Love and Sun Showers are probably my favourites from this project.

Disclosure - ENERGY
78

An improvement from their last album for sure, some catchy and creative stuff on here. The energy factore does drift off halfway through the album but the quality stays.

Disclosure - Caracal
67

I get what they wanted to do on this album, getting more radio friendly and trying not to repeat what they did on Settle. While I have to admit that it worked out for them, it obviously doesnt come close to their debut. They have set themselves a high benchmark but thats probably a positive thing. Also the 67 rating gotta stay

Disclosure - Settle
100

These guys really managed to make a house album with zero skips where every song is catchy and entertaining. Probably the best debut album out there for me

Moderat - MORE D4TA
97

Really happy these guys came back together during covid cause this album is so worth it. It features their more experimental and cinematic production from their first two albums on tracks like FAST LAND, DRUM GLOW and NUMB BELL, while also having more pop-friendly tracks with Apparats awesome vocals like MORE LOVE or EASY PREY

Moderat - III
94

Moderat took a bit more pop-friendly approach on this album which is why its the weakest album out of their discographie for me. Its still a 94 cause the tracks on here are bangers after all. Apparat killing it with the vocals and the production sounds clean and creative.

Moderat - Moderat

Absolute cinema. Electronic music at its peak

Moderat - II
100

Moderat (Modeselektor and Apparat) gotta have the most consistent discographie I have ever discovered, this and their debut album being the peak of it. Cinematic and experimental electronic music that is both emotional and thoughtful. Absolute peak

G Jones - The Ineffable Truth
94

He is really flexing his production skills on this one. Crazy sound design and that calm track in the middle of the album is done so damn well too.

Ross from Friends - Family Portrait
80

A different kind of house music then what I usually listen to but I did end up liking it a lot. Feels like a mixture of Deep House and Vaporwave

The Blessed Madonna - Godspeed
98

Carry Me Higher is such a banger track! These albums are the kind of House albums I missed after Covid. The vocal features sound absolutely amazing on each track and the production is catchy and clean. It has moments on it which feel emotional and still manages to not make them sound out of place through the upbeat production. Great listening expirience

Moby - Play
98

I never understood the hate for Moby. The scandals he had arent close to what most mainstream artists these days got going on. Moby has a huge discographie with many bangers in it, Play probably being his most well know and rightfully so. Its filled with great tracks that flow really well and set a nice mood. A standout album from the 90s for me

Tchami - Veni, Vidi, Vici
45

Malaa and Tchami have really been their biggest competition when it comes to this album. Their No Redemption EP from 2018 had me really hyped for this project, just to be met with some rather boring and basic Tech-House cuts. Tracks like Giving Me Life and Gotham are standouts for me but the overall album sounds quikly put together and far from what the supergroup produced in the past.
