Infinity Frequencies - Grid Of Reality
55

Holy shit Spotify just notified me that Infinity Frequencies has a new EP out and I am stupid hype to hear more from them! They have been super consistently good to down right astonishing throughout their Discography. And with this first EP of theirs they are also collaborating for the first time as well!

Their partner in crime that they have worked on this latest installment of each of their respective Discogs is the artist named "Sangam" whomst I have yet to even be exposed to ... read more

Yo! Taeko! I didn't know you had THIS in you! Damn this is amazing!!! This is much more refined and pleasurable than your previous work!

It's honestly a shame that this album has as little attention on this site as it does! So if you're a fan of city pop I HIGHLY recommend you check this gem out!

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

Man it's been a minute since I listened to some Black Sabbath. It's been so long that that even changed lead singers. I heard most of their work this spring so IDK if I made an account or even reviewed their early work when I was going through the early 70s.

All you need to know is that the first two albums were absolute bangers and the rest of the acclaimed ones didn't do anything for me.

Thankfully with this refreshing new lead and the long wait to hear them again has helped me listen to ... read more

The Jam - Sound Affects

Ok WOW I really warmed up to this by the end.

As some may have gathered I am not the biggest fan of punk. With most of the albums I review of the genre gets a big fat 50 of mediocrity out of me, since I usually get little I out of listening to the drivel. This is one of the exceptions since it's actually pretty fun to listen to!

I see other reviews calling it solid throughout and I had a different experience with this. At first it was just ok punk, nothing new nothing interesting. Then a few ... read more

Oh Hell yeah! 🤘🤘🤘

This is honestly what I am most exited for in my run through of the 80's. The golden days of metal! And what better place to start than the debut of one of the greatest to ever do it?

This was such a blast to jam to and I am only grazing the surface of what these guys have to offer! I can't wait to listen to their future albums!

What a way to kick off the 1980's! (Legit tho this released on January 1st 1980)

The very definition of unhinged passion. Emphasis on unhinged, this is Definitely not for everyone. There are good amounts of this that is just noise to me but others...oh man do I got guilty pleasure with those cats.

I did skip over the Live tracks as well as the remixes so I didn't have to sit through this madness for over two in a half hours instead of like an hour and a half. Which plenty enough madness as it ... read more

Vapora - Oceanside Mall

Alright I have finally caught up to Vapora's Discography up to this point. There have been highs and lows but I am just glad that I made it to this point after binging over a dozen albums in a few days. I hope this one is one of the good ones!🙏

Boardwalk Breeze:
Eh. Just eh. I'm already not liking the chances of me enjoying myself with this album.

Vapora - Holograms

I managed to Midnight sunrise( awesome song name) before I just gave up. It's ambiance and I am either inspired by the genre to make very imaginative stories out of it, or I feel nothing and get bored to tears and start to get grouchy because of it. Guess what reaction I got out of this one?

Now I appreciate Vapora for continuously switching things up from album to album since it's real easy to keep to your comfort zone and grind out the fifth vaporwave album in a row that has zero unique ... read more

Vapora - Supermarket

Zzzzzz...nrh huh??! Why am I listening to metal? OH I was listening to a boring Vapora album and fell asleep halfway through and Spotify recommendations do get a bit quirky sometimes and insert the most insane crap into it that DOES NOT fit the vibe. Anyways this album is a bore and a waste of my time don't waste yours on it either.

Vapora - Halcyon Days

LMAO just when I thought they lost their touch and I won't be hearing anything at the caliber of "For the Lost and the Damned" they brought me right back to being a big fan of theirs with this tracklist! It ain't more outrun like I was expecting or the party tracks of "For the Lost and the Damned" it's a lot more lofi and chill vibes. And I absolutely LOVE IT! They are back into prime form and I couldn't be anymore happy to say that! Highly recommend you check out this ... read more

Vapora - Album X

It looks like Vapora is dipping their toes into some outrun. They aren't that good at it at least according to this album. Nothing interesting is offered in this pretty brief album, but I don't mind if they go at it for another honest try, hopefully with some improvements.

Vapora (II) - Hologram Plaza 3.1

Ok the mall is getting boring. At least this is the last installment for the series. At least up to this point. I only cared for "The Lobby" otherwise it went through my eardrums with no impact.

Vapora (II) - Hologram Plaza 3

After more than two years Vapora returns with the third installment of the Hologram Plaza series. This one is pretty decent overall. Some songs are pretty forgettable while others quite good.

Vapora (II) - Hologram Plaza 2.1

And we are back at the mall. Except instead of being so decrepit and horrible that you question why they are even open, they are FINALLY shut down and abandoned!

This album is all about some middle aged guy feeling nostalgic for the old place and wants to go inside to see the old fountain where he got married all those years ago. As expected the place is in even worse condition now that there's mold and graffiti everywhere. There's rats and roaches around every corner. Nature in general is ... read more

Ringo Starr - Rewind Forward

✌️&♥️

I am just so happy that not only are half of the former Beatles are still with us, but they are still passionately making music for us to this day! Ringo has quite the Discography and reputation for not bringing the best music to the table unlike the other three band members whomst have each made so many timeless classics. Then there's good ole Ringo. You have to admire and respect that even through all of those poorly received releases through all these years he is ... read more

On Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
"@OldTask This album is definitely geared towards the artsy fartsy folks that appreciate just how deep into the rabbit hole this experience takes them. Definitely takes an experienced or a very open ear to truly "get it." Not everyone does, but the ones that do praise this shit up and down like I do."
On Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
"@Moosky This album is fit for a very particular meditative mindset you have to be in for the Inherent strangeness to pack as hard of a punch as it does. Like many albums I love this is like a sonic drug trip that is more to be experienced than enjoyed as regular music. This album has a legendary status because it goes deep into this surreal experimental soundscape unapologetically and not everyone is going to get it, but those who do are immensely rewarded. I recommend you to maybe expand your horizons and listen to ambient/Psychedelic/ experimental releases similar to this so your pallet is more used to what this amazing album has to offer. Cont."

On David Bowie - Station to Station
"@Jakeisthedoctor Man I really should delete and reevaluate these albums I reviewed in my early days when my taste wasn't nearly as refined yet expansive as it is now. Back in 2023 I was throwing my inexperienced taste into classics head first with no idea what I was talking about. It's part of the reason why I am exploring the 60s and 70s again along with bolstering my limited playlists. To great success too with my 60s playlist going from 90 tracks to over 750 and growing as I am now appreciative of the greatness that I am consuming. I promise when I get to these albums again down the road, I will likely have a more reasonable take. For now, just enjoy how unhinged I was in 2023."
On Vapora - Oceanside Mall
"@frogofprog oh yeah, Vapora. I definitely had mixed feelings with this artist. They had some genuinely great vaporwave along with...well ones that missed the mark. Yeah I was a bit more loose with my reviews back in 2023 just experimenting with how I liked to present my reviews. It results in some reviews I am still proud of to some I just go crazy on. It is also an era where I was still forming my tastes on like twenty+ genres at once so don't take my early reviews that seriously."

On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw Good for them and the people that praise their writing. That's not the reason I fell in love with music so I don't focus on it. And that is just as fine as those who do the opposite and completely mute the music and gush over the writing. Different strokes, we all appreciate art in our own individual ways."
On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw Maybe I'll appreciate that part of the experience when I decide to give a shit about the lyrics. Until then, those pink floyd classics offer an amazing sonic experience regardless of whatever they are yapping about."
