Very Meditative.
Recs:
- Through the Tunnel
- Mystic Temple
- Pine Forest
This is just too slow to catch my interest. At least I liked "Five Demiurgic Options" and the closer "The Prophet Sequence".
Here we have a spacey vibey Experimental Hip hop release that does the job well at times.
Recs:
- Lord of the Light - Sun Riddim
- Moon - Galactico
- Goth Bitches (The Serenade) [Rain]
- Peace to the Godz
The band with a contradictory hair color offers a decent dream pop indietronica release. Found it to be fine with a moderate amount of potential, but I just couldn't find it interesting enough to give it any higher attention than I am.
Recs:
-Will There Be Stars
- Oslo
- Penny Sparkle
Like a lot of modern contemporary country this fails to charm me. Though there are a couple tracks that didn't have me rolling my eyes or get dismissive over what I am hearing.
Recs:
- White Liar
- Maintain the Pain
- The House that Built Me
It's a decent over bloated IDM release that has some great ideas mixed within a bunch of forgettable ones.
Recs:
- Binedump
- Lawn Wake lX
- Kirlian Choices
- (Cherokee Script) Highways
- Six Months Without Light
- Kirlian Changes
- Kirlian Isles lll
- Miles and Miles
This made my mind numb in the best way possible.
Recs:
- Umbrella
- Anywhere Anyone
- Fear of Corners
- Life is Full of Possibilities
- Why I'm so Unhappy
- Fireworks
- (This is) The Dream of Evan and Chan
- Last Songs
The first half didn't do much for me but that B-side was a lot of noise rock madness that I was really into. Good shit, my kind of chaos.
Recs:
- Area 877
- Section Eight
- Drug Store
- Excess
- Chipped Zoo on the Wall, Wastes in the Sky.............
Simply red offers a decent soft pop soul release that has a nice reggae song in there for whatever reason. Nice vocals, good instrumental. Just a very pleasant listen overall.
Recs:
- Model
- Freedom
- Wonderland
Fucking amazing that this album was released on my 15th birthday.
A couple years ago (summer 22 to spring 23 right before I got onto this site) I was a synthwave addict who listened and loved almost everything I heard. Vaporwave and liminal spaces also filled the vast hole that FNAF left behind in my late teen years. But here I am talking about the 80's nostalgia bait that had my ass glued to whatever it was offering. Nowadays Synthwave does not have as much of a strong grip on me, but ... read more
Juan Berdugo. Been a while since I heard that name. Fun fact, you recommending me to check out your release "Bloom" is what got me to download Spotify a couple years back. Since then I have discovered literally THOUSANDS of fantastic music in my daily hours of casual listening while at work. Shout out to the goated discover weekly, release radar, and the TikTok-esque feature "Discover something new" that has me discovering amazing music in literal seconds! That app has ... read more
Not Marshall yet again with another one. Now he's frolicking across the flowers like that one lady in that one old movie. Happy Valentine's day to all of us lonely fucks, I hope we can cry ourselves to sleep peacefully tonight. Ok, enough of the nonsense, let's see what our guy has to offer this time around...

For a spring themed album this opener seems very under water based. Are we starting in the irrigation system what's going on? (I am feeling very silly this ... read more
The Canadian Bruce Springsteen that ironically is also named Bruce. It's decent but doesn't quite hold up against the American's work imo. Still there's some good stuff here that's worth a listen.
Recs:
- Loner
- It's Going Down Slow
- The Coldest Night of the Year
- Laughter
Though I didn't connect with this as much as I would have liked, Robert Fripp still offers a kinda fascinating art rock/ambient album release that does enough to keep you listening throughout the 17 tracks, but hardly any of them are going to stick with you after your finished listening.
Recs:
- Breathless
- North Star
- NY3
- Mary
Labi Siffre offers a great soul record that does plenty to warm my soul.
Recs:
-I Got The...
- Down
- Old Time Song
- The Vulture
- Sadie and the Devil
- Remember My Song
- Hot and Dirty in the City
A charming samba/ bassa nova release that's a pleasant time for lazy afternoons.
Recs:
- Ela Desatino
- Januária
- Carolina
- Sem Fantasia
- Funeral de um Lavrador
- Team Para Morte e Vida Severina
Some nice classy Motown that emphasizes harmony and a lot of love as a lot of early to mid 60's tunes tend to be. Not bad for the familiar sounds and themes it offers, its just that I couldn't find much worth returning to past the iconic singles.
Recs:
- My Girl
- It's Growing
- Who's Loving You
- You Beat Me to the Punch
Man at least on Spotify you can feel how rudimentary recording was back when this was released. It desperately needs a remaster. That aside this is a nice cool jazz record from the legendary Coltrane. Nothing that surprises or challenges as it stays within the bounds of what many think of when they hear the word jazz. It may be nothing that I would personally be returning to especially in it's current format, but I enjoyed it for what it was.
Thanks @RobiBlue for recommending me this single.
It's a decent polish piano ballad that unfortunately doesn't resonate with my ignorant American ass. I suppose I like the kinda dramatic turn it takes and the vocal performances does the job well. But as a guy that has been exposed to a ton of music like this in my teenage years, this didn't do much for me.
