the music equivalent of making a roller-coaster with ultra speed-boosts leading right into brakes leading right into ultra speed-boosts for 31.267 (5s.f.) mins straight
most of the highlights are in the 1st half of the album.
pdp is a reallyyyyyyyyyyyy niceeeee opener full of energy and hope my favourite from this album
decent closer to this album with impossible somedays
and some songs on this album come off as weak compared to the rest like song about nothing that has a nice guitar riff, but also sounds annoying
it's cool to see a band who debuted 30 yrs ago still making an album of this quality very impressive
walking in a deep forest late at night seeing a werewolf but you have no energy to turn back so you tuck your knees in towards yourself who's laying on a rough tree trunk. not sure if the werewolf saw you or not but
decent album, I don't rlly listen to this kinda music
i might get flamed but i liked ts more than their debut album STGSTV
started really nicely, ended really nicely and some decent tracks in the middle
them spamming the same vocal layering technique got boring after awhile but still...
20 different genres of absolute earworm all in one album๐ฅน
also its a perfect roadtrip album
also i didn't know folk could sound like that
wow i think i liked this more than halcyon digest... I'm surprised
Both albums are awesome but i do think that fading frontier feels more light while halcyon digest felt more intense
The first 5 tracks are awesome. Neat guitar work and slightly more dreamy vocals gives it that peak indie/psychedelic rock vibe.
Breaker is the first song from this album that I heard and I immediately loved it.
The last four tracks certainly had a different vibe from the first 5. In snakeskin, the ... read more
the synths on some of these songs are really nice even if it sounds generic or 'commercial'
while some parts of the album could sound uplifting and fun there are parts that sound emotional and gloomy
I like that contrast even if it does mean that the album as a whole becomes less consistent
Highlights: Graffiti (the reason why I listened to ts), Graves, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti, ... read more
DANG I MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH
A lot of shoegaze to me sounds really similar cuz everyone creates this heavily distorted loud ethereal sound as its part of the genre.
After listening to a few shoegaze songs/albums, I didn't really care about listening to more of this genre as it sounded the same and I was starting to get bored.
...that was a few months ago. Now I don't really listen to much shoegaze so I decided to find an album from this genre to listen to again. I then saw many people ... read more
wow. I didn't expect myself to like this album this much. Absolutely incredibly trippy chaotic messy project even by AnCo's standards.
I do think that some others might find this chaos overwhelming which is probably the primary reason why most people don't rate it as highly as other AnCo releases
Highlights: Today's supernatural, Applesauce, Monkey riches
If I had a least favourite prolly Pulleys or Wide eyed but they really are awesome tracks as well.
a few nice tracks on here but mostly mehhh or blehhhhh
Creature Comfort, We Don't Deserve Love ๐๐
Chemistry๐๐๐
everything else for me is kinda mehhh
Peak opener, peak closer. Quite consistent but a few songs that I didn't really gravitate towards.
First time listening to Arcade Fire and I'll probably listen to more if some of their other songs could sound as good as the suburbs, empty room, half light I and sprawl II.
cool dsco cool chocolate cool cool cool cool
good album with high highs but some parts feel too glitchy for my liking but glitch cool
wow there's like 10 different elements present and it all sounds cohesive. absolute bliss
the beat goes round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and
jigsaw falls into place
the synths are quite nice but I think that the lyrics could be better imo. The high-pitched vocals throughout the album could sound kinda annoying too.
Most songs here are quite decent and then there's sleepyhead which is a notch above the rest
