This is easily Joji's best album. While Ballads and Nectar were good, they lacked focus. In my opinion Nectar's tracklist was far too bloated for it's own good and weighed what could have been a wonderful album down to something mid with good moments. hard to find the exact words to describe the way i feel. It definitely feels like a re-hash of everything they've ever made up to this point. Following half alive these past few years has felt like watching a thing you like being stuck in a mediocre limbo. Absolutely nothing enticing. It's like eating the same meal every day for 2 years

a minute & a half into "Star Spangled Banger" I can safely say this is the best album of all time
I can't tell whether this is my favorite or 2nd favorite Beach Boys record. This and "Sunflower" encapsulate so much of the magic the Beach Boys are praised for today and it's so difficult to pick between the two. Lucky me, they were reissued recently together!!!
