They wear their influences on their sleeve (namely The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys) but for what it is, and considering how young they were when they made this, it's not bad at all! The songs do get a little samey and it's maybe a little longer than it needs to be, but a pretty solid effort.
I love Rina, and this was one of my most anticipated albums of the year. Unfortunately, I feel it's a downgrade from both SAWAYAMA and RINA. I like the idea of what she was going for by incorporating a lot of different styles, but I don't know how well it works in practice. I found some of the tracks to be a little more generic than what I'm used to for Rina.

Started good, ended up nearly skipping songs in the latter half. Not bad by any means, but it just started blurring together for me. Opinion might change after a relisten.
My favourite soundtrack for my favourite game of all time. Nobuo Uematsu is truly a master at evoking particular emotions through song, which is even more impressive considering the technical limitations of video game music at the time.
I sincerely believe that Final Fantasy VII continues to have such a lasting impression even now largely because of it's memorable soundtrack. You'd be hard-pressed to find an FFVII fan that doesn't hear any one of these songs and is not immediately transported ... read more
