Lateralus for me, is by far one of the most confusing albums to rate in my life as a reviewer. Tool is a band that take many inspirations from many different sub-genres of metal, and it works on Lateralus. The amalgamation of such equal a very good progressive metal project. An inspired and well put together project by YG. He reps his colors and city very well on Still Brazy.
Good highs, but doesn’t have the same consistency as a Barter 6. Petty good listen though!
Okay, Bobby Caldwell isn’t talked about a lot, but this album is so great. The keys and bass jazzy as much as it is clean and poppy while Bobby’s vocals are very clean. It is a simple album, nothing conceptual or overly complicated, and I think thats why I like it so much.
