I would’ve never expected to listen to a Boards of Canada LP during the first week of the release, but here we are.
After 13 years, the champions of electronic music continue to make captivating and engaging tunes, delivering an incredible soundscape to dive yourself in. While not as experimental as Geogaddi or Music has the Right to Children, I still had a nice time with this release. Nice listen.
What listening to Slayyyter does to an artist.
Having such a negatively-acclaimed artist break out of whatever shell they were in to make some of the best music that they ever made is what I think to be the greatest thing to witness. Im lowkey addicted to The 1st Amendment, its really really bad ๐ญ
Production-wise, we get peggy in his most abrasive and dangerous form. However, it can definitely be argued as sloppy too. I am personally fine with it, and songs like “Since I Met Ye” and “¥” really catches my ear with its loud and industrial-sounding beats.
