The 1975 - DH00278 (Live From The O2, London, 12/16/2016)
75

pre-ATVB the 1975's live shows were always more of hearing their songs on shuffle but live . nevertheless, this is a well curated set piecing together their best songs from their first and second albums as well as their EP releases . they do very well at creating an atmosphere despite the two albums having vastly different aesthetics to them .

LCD Soundsystem - LCD Soundsystem
85

daft punk is playing at my house top 5 songs to dance to oat

MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
70

its a good album but for some reason this sound won't click for me . 'kids' works but all the others feel as listening to art pop does . rating it a seven for a good measure

Justice - †
90

this was so ahead of its time it's crazy
"cyberspace" feels like the only word that describes it

58

pretty average metal but still good and enjoyable c:

Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To
96

still holds up insanely well . when poppy starts screaming on suffocate it makes me want to dry hump the nearest wall . 9/10

Slayyyter - OLD TECHNOLOGY
100

can't stop listening to this . feels like a motorbike revving up, similar to crank, which i guess fits the whole nasty southern american vibe she's going for . went from 98 to 99 to 100 i actually can't wait for this album to come sooner . starfucker's sister album is loading

Basement - Colourmeinkindness
85

up there with the obsessives in terms of indie rock emo with a posthardcore influence stronger than the grune

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
NR

this feels 100% based on the book rather than the annihilation (not adaptation) of it and that is a good thing . a very good thing

femtanyl - MAN BITES DOG
73

feels more well produced than earlier projects but it does lack the chaos that femtanyl started off so strongly on and it seems will unfortunately always be compared to with later projects .

Cafuné - Tek It (I Watch the Moon)
98

this is peak late 2010s bedroom indie pop WOW

Alex Warren - Ordinary

The Dare - What's Wrong With New York?
75

i bought a tie to go see this guy live and like my friends started calling me lesbian the dare because it became one of my favourite outfit combos and then i'd put this album on in the background when doing university work and it honestly grew on me

my favourite always was and still is i destroyed disco . the lcd comparisons, almost as if it's a bad thing? i love lcd too and anyone can 100% hear the influence but is that not what lcd was all about? not sure how to put exact words to ... read more

The 1975 - Notes On A Conditional Form
85

honestly my favourite 1975 album

Christie Front Drive - Stereo
70

its a solid 90s midwest record on the side that strays further away from the hardcore roots or post hardcore influence but stereo does not have much that makes it stand out . maybe apart from the four interludes

70

straight out of germany in 2008 - myspace archive project link: https://archive.org/details/ACR-MDICS-2008/2008+-+My+Dearest+I+Cannot+Speak/

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT
50

this was actually the start of the end for her . midnights was just okay and average and as taylor as it gets, but good lord idk what happened here . her worst crime is being boring but guilty as sin has been stuck in my head for months and months as much as i wish it wasn't LOL

"i think the inconsistent and dare i say clunky vibe is intentional bc slayyyter said she wanted the album to sound like an ipod shuffle . whether that makes an enjoyable listen may depend on the person but i do think it gives a lot of context to what she was going for here"

"dude u should listen to her other stuff if u like this, especially starfucker then the deluxe tracks and then her run of singles post-sfer deluxe is for this new album . (no comma, beat up chanels, cannibalism, crank) . i'd def say her latest singles r a culmination of everything she's done before so i can't say whether u would like it more or not but it may be worth it anyways !!"

"@FreshLemonJuice If you are going to be this affected by what other people think of and have to say about something you like then it is worth asking whether lurking around the reviews is a good idea. You are free to enjoy whatever you wish much like any other person on this website but the way you are getting aggressive towards people in the replies of their reviews on multiple songs is unnecessary. You can hold the belief that real-life events have no bearing on music but not everyone shares that belief and that will affect their listening experience and ultimately create one that is very different to your own."

"@hushh i think that the song overall is really bland and repetitive and just nothing too special, though, it seems to be a matter of personal preference since a lot of other people have really enjoyed this ! i was kind of surprised looking at the ratings because i genuinely couldn't get into this. this doesn't sound much like their other works apart from sober and maybe normal people things, to me? but again, this might all be personal taste. gonna give their debut a listen when it comes out but i can't say i think it's sounding too promising. they seem to have gone in on a certain sound since the release of NPT which i can't say is a sound for me personally :)"
