ivri - tower of memories
90

this is obviously inspired by the surge of alt metal bands like deftones on tiktok but i honestly don't think its half bad of an attempt . i've found myself revisiting this a lot it's v enjoyable !!

77 -> 90 this might be one of my favourite songs ever actually . peak peak peak peak

Ayesha Erotica - precum
85

cannot get over how cunt it is to vanish off of the internet and then come back with WHORE IDOL as ur opener . the nasty "AYESHA" to kick it off is crazy i love this + the electroclash closer .
ayesha def became known for her outrageously sexual lyrics with most of them involving kink, fetish, and other taboos which i guess isn't AS prominent here but the girl literally says she'd let them fuck while she's sleeping so it's not gone from here completely

Rites of Spring - Rites of Spring
86

revolutionary album.

rites of spring co-existed with a select few other bands who had whatever "it" was from washington, d.c. people were sick of the violence and hatred spewing from the hardcore punk scene and decided to create a new one . bands like rites of spring played at benefit shows for the positive force charity and were lending a hand in opposing reagan's historically awful presidency and aiding in the backlash against his civil rights and segregation policies in ... read more

Christian Death - Only Theatre of Pain

chloe moriondo - Blood Bunny
85

chloe moriondo was hand-in-hand responsible alongside the likes of cavetown for the indie bedroom pop (rock) internet phenomenon that seems to be completely lost on many people years later. her pop rock project of 'blood bunny' is a pocket rocket of cheesy, angsty, late-teens songs that detail rebellion, alternative identity, her relationship with now ex-partner of sam, the turmoils and anxiety that may come along with it, and other silly songs like 'favourite band' which is ... read more

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II
87

not my most liked sound but i can't lie and say they didn't cook with the blend of softer and harder rock genres here

AC/DC - Back in Black
85

the promised rock'n'roll band

Charli xcx - House featuring John Cale
90

can't believe this is for the new wuthering heights film . it actually captures the feeling of the novel perfectly but the film itself is not looking promising . if the whole album captures the novel like this then it may be one of the best things i've heard in my life and i'm actually looking more forward to the soundtrack than the film itself LOL

Charli xcx - Chains of Love
NR

goodbye everything is romantic welcome everything is poetic

Slayyyter - CRANK
95

this run of songs has been GENERATIONAL. from the release of the starfucker deluxe which ends with james dean to THISSSS ????
i listen to slayyyter's discog a lot and everytime since these songs have released i feel like i'm hearing where she began playing with the sounds that we're hearing now but the last three singles have been executing this much better .
2026 year of slayyyter and i've been waiting for it since 2019

"i think the inconsistent and dare i say clunky vibe is intentional bc slayyyter said she wanted the album to sound like an ipod shuffle . whether that makes an enjoyable listen may depend on the person but i do think it gives a lot of context to what she was going for here"

"@Vainglory56766 thank u !! and yeah i rarely see it spoken about but she is a small-ish artist and starfucker definitely didnt get the hype it deserved so i can see why . hadn't thought about wgia and sf being like two sides of the same story but thats a rly interesting perspective"

"dude u should listen to her other stuff if u like this, especially starfucker then the deluxe tracks and then her run of singles post-sfer deluxe is for this new album . (no comma, beat up chanels, cannibalism, crank) . i'd def say her latest singles r a culmination of everything she's done before so i can't say whether u would like it more or not but it may be worth it anyways !!"

"@FreshLemonJuice If you are going to be this affected by what other people think of and have to say about something you like then it is worth asking whether lurking around the reviews is a good idea. You are free to enjoy whatever you wish much like any other person on this website but the way you are getting aggressive towards people in the replies of their reviews on multiple songs is unnecessary. You can hold the belief that real-life events have no bearing on music but not everyone shares that belief and that will affect their listening experience and ultimately create one that is very different to your own."
On Lovejoy - With Rob As My Witness
"@hushh i think that the song overall is really bland and repetitive and just nothing too special, though, it seems to be a matter of personal preference since a lot of other people have really enjoyed this ! i was kind of surprised looking at the ratings because i genuinely couldn't get into this. this doesn't sound much like their other works apart from sober and maybe normal people things, to me? but again, this might all be personal taste. gonna give their debut a listen when it comes out but i can't say i think it's sounding too promising. they seem to have gone in on a certain sound since the release of NPT which i can't say is a sound for me personally :)"
