undeniably a cultural artifact despite the sex pistols being a boy band manufactured to sell expensive jewellery
this feels like a song someone would have to listen to every so often because the feelings that it evokes within them are so special.
chappell's music initially had to grow on me and i guess that her album exploding with popularity months after it released did make me return to it until it was something that i too could enjoy. it definitely isn't my vibe but i can see the appeal and it feels especially silly to deny how great her music is after the rise and fall of a midwest ... read more
had a friend who sent me the song i exist i exist i exist at the end of highschool/start of sixth form. wrote many poems about them even though we stopped talking. things ended pretty badly. many people consider these poems to be my best which i cannot deny that i hate but it is mostly because they are right. i have never written anything close to being as good as those and every single one has been about them. it is weird to miss someone who you wish to never be anywhere near a part of your ... read more
it's weird because i love the message of this song and the emotion that jaiden is showing especially in the second verse but dave is fucking awful at music
this started out average but it kept going and suddenly i didn't know what was grating my ears
this just feels boring and may i even call it npc music? like i can't see this being relevant anywhere other than some crappy advert showcasing a family of four on a warm summer's day.
think i'm gonna have to revive my love for demi lovato from when i was like 12 if she's gonna keep releasing music like this
most obvious jumping on the "pop punk revival" bandwagon.
machine gun kelly has some fun instrumentation that may be associated with pop punk but it seems that is all he had to offer. the awful lyrics on here are so hard to tune out and i can't help but feel that they lack any genuine meaning other than "i listened to blink-182 once and though this is what emo-pop-punk is supposed to sound like" and i mean this specifically for 'drunk face'.
i also can't ... read more
i tried to listen to renee's older stuff a while back and came to the conclusion that it is simply not my kind of music, though, i think that leave me alone is super fun and that this is a strong album overall.
it felt more enjoyable when the tracks were bouncier like with leave me alone; kiss it kiss it; and i didn't find myself liking the slower songs all that much.
also a note that this record feels really inconsistent to listen to front to back? i'm not really sure how i feel ... read more

saw this live over the weekend and it felt just as amazing as listening to this album for the first time last year did.
i am a long-time fan of billie eilish since the release of don't smile at me which would've been when i was like 12/13 lol. i was severely depressed at 13/14 and was listening to wwafawdwg? and it did mean a lot to me even though that sounds like the most stereotypical fourteen year old thing ever. shockingly teenagers can experience severe depression (and i still ... read more
