genuinely horrific. probably one of the most draining experiences i've had from a rap album. i can't rlly assign a proper rating to it, its impeccably produced with very strongly written lyrics (although only 3 of the 9 tracks feature a complete audible verse from travis) however at the same time it made me feel completely miserable to the extent where i have zero desire to ever revisit it. which i guess is the point
this album is fucking awesome idk what i was on before. its still probably their most "dad-rock" release and it obviously doesn't compare to their 90s run but its still really solid for what it is.

least fav: one diamond, one heart
grew off me a bit but this will probably end up being the last full-length from him that i enjoy from start to finish
sounds exactly how you'd expect it to. albeit much shorter then their usual
the ethel cain track and (surprisingly) the cudi track are both really amazing but as a whole this tape fell flat
slowdive at their most creatively bankrupt. completely forgettable in almost every aspect, everything is alive is a collection of some of the blandest, most mindless dream pop i've ever heard. this album left basically no impact on me bar like maybe two or three songs. while there isn't anything i "hate" per se, at the same time basically nothing stands out at all. it is mildly pleasing throughout and i can't necessarily say that it's a bad album, however it is wholly uninteresting ... read more
hecker at his least focused, but still a remarkably unique and engaging ambient project that benefits from multiple listens, having some of his most accessible songs with his techno roots being the most present here out of any of his other albums.

least fav: arctic lover's rock pt. 2
ik this is going to be an unpopular take on here but this is honestly my favorite project from this group. its just such pure euphoric bliss from start to finish, every song on here just perfectly encapsulates an insanely ethereal vibe. it almost feels like a more realized version of amnesiac, one of their albums that i'd always wanted to love for its fantastic highlights, several of which feel very reminiscent of the style perfected here, however one that always fell flat as a whole due to ... read more
