The tune and recording are super solid, but I don't know. It could just be me, but something feels very sinister and odd about Mark Ronson and RAYE very clearly pulling this blatant Amy revivalism. Like... I don't know. Paying homage is totally fine, this just just feels too on the nose. Are we crossing a line?

It’s a real great tune, sorta in the lyrical vein of Mykel and Carli / Eulogy For a Rock Band. Where it really falls flat though is that this really would’ve been better sung by Rivers 😅. Berkman’s kinda low, flat, and half-given delivery just doesn’t take it to the top floor in the way Cuomo’s boyish and empassioned vocals likely would.
