Quite a lot of bloat and even without it doesn't hit the peaks of many other of kanyes solo works. Still not a bad album by any means.
Bar the title track, this is the sort of album that I enjoy thinking about it after the fact than actually listening to it. Lyrically I quite like this album, sonically something isn't quite right about it. I normally love the boom bar style but something about the way the tracks are laid out or the production just doesn't make it stick.
No rating for now, I will write a full review for this album (maybe even make a video review?) in the future
Edit NR -> 75: Actually giving this a score now, but this isn't my full review. Normally a 75 is a pretty decent album but i dont have much to say about it but ive got heaps of thoughts on this album. Will have a review this summer.
Yea sure a lot of the songs sound the same, but that isn't an issue for such a short release. I hope for some more variety on a full length project, but fkr what it is it's a really fun and bouncy summer project (even if it is winter for me)
I've always heard about how bad the big day is, and how good his earlier mixtapes were, so ive been looking forward to listen to this for a while. What made me go to it is how much ive enjoyed the singles hes been releasing over the last few months. Theyve been great so i was looking forward to this a lot. I dont know why but this project didnt really click for me. I loved how experimental he was with this and how weird it was but as an overall listening album none of the songs clicked ... read more
Yes, i actually listened to this full album, and im so glad its only 20 something minuets. It is already unbearable. Genuinely the worst album i've ever listened to. The delivery is just shouting. The beats are the same shit every time. The lyrics are.. impressively terrible. There is nothing i like about this album. I never want to listen to ice spice again.
πDid It First
Edit: The only reason this album isn't a 0 is because the beat for did it first is actually really good.
TCQs worst album in my opinion. Often lacking life and energy, and considerable lack of "love" in the lyrics despite what the title suggests. Still not a bad album, just formulaic and disappointing compared to the other Tribe albums.
Mans really made his final albums cover be him holding a cock like bro you have kids
Bros been going crazy on these singles wtf
Edit 80 -> 90: no but why does he go so crazy
Edit 85 -> 100: purely based off the main 6 tracks here, not the additional instrumentals/remixes/ect this is one of the greatest and most emotional albums ive ever heard. even thinking about this gets me welling up. one day, i will write a full review of this album, but not today.
Edit 2: this is now my favourite album of all time. Gkmc had a good run but these 6 tracks are some of the best I've ever heard
π Luv(sic.), Pt. 3
13 of some of the most pleasant and enjoyable soul/r&b/jazz instrumentals ive heard on an album, with great features to match. thoroughly enjoyed
Edit 80->85: keep coming back to this one. Absolutely love it.
This is my first logic album, and damn it's pretty good. So far with logic my experience has been self medication (which is great bar the skit at the end) and starting college life which I didn't really like. I knew he had a super close community. This album is good though, I still don't like the skits but the music is great, logics pen game seems pretty good here and I love the positivity that the total package gives. Good album.
Parts where he talks maturely and about his life are great, like win some lose some, but they are few and far between
Mesmerising, seemingly infinite in depth, amazingly crafted and one of a kind. And that's just the album cover.
Yea this is good
Edit 85-> 90: LOVE
