Listened to this while painting a fence
Tbh couldn't hear the music that well but from what I heard it's about a 75.. will update in the future
*Snoop Dogg and Skylar Grey flying a plane*
Snoop Dogg: *greens out*
Skylar Grey: Oh my god! "I NEED A DOCTOR"!!
Dr. Dre: Don't worry, I'm here!
Skylar Grey: You're not a real doctor!
Dr. Dre: "WHATS THE DIFFERENCE". I have doctor in my name!
Skylar Grey: Is this some kind of "TWISTED" joke?
Dr. Dre: "BITCH PLEASE" . Now let me fix this before the planes engines go "BANG BANG" and we crash "&BURN".

Pretty good, fairly consistent tracklist. No real stinkers, some songs are better then the rest but no standout tracks.
Another project I want to go further in depth in for a full review. After this year, im a little disappointed in this project. Definitely has some brilliant songs, but about a third of this project are tracks I just don't want to listen to again. It feels like a mixtape, and when comparing it to his other albums this just doesn't stand up as a whole. It does feel like it's signalling for a proper "kendrick lamar" project coming soon. The project does have some great ... read more
I don't want to be that guy, but some of these tracks feel a lot like the college dropout.. I'm excited to see where cordae goes from here.
Edit 80-> 70: I took it a bit far it's not THAT good. On a third listen there are some tracks that are a bit messy and hard to listen to but overall it's more good then bad
"Slagmas" has permanently ruined Christmas music for me. Every time I hear the start of a christmas song I expect to hear his angelic voice and I am always disappointed.
Probably will change at some point, but so far i've been enjoying this album quite a bit. Love when the drums come in on "sin", not a huge fan of "lungs" but its alright. Favourite so far definitely "into your garden". The JT feature is also really good.
Edit 75-> 85: Listened to the project more over time and i really like it. hard to chose a favourite out of all the tracks especially the first half is so good.
πInto Your Garden feat. JT
Freddie Gibbs has some of the best instrumentals of the year, as to be expected, but listening to the project left me wanting some more substance from the lyrics. The last few tracks were definitely the best lyric and substance wise.
Edit 65-> 80: I've returned to this album heaps over the last few months and I enjoy it heaps. Way better than YOL2 which I now enjoy less.
π Brick Fees
I wish there was an instrumental version of this album.
G Funk Intro is the best song fight me
You really can see the development of tyler on this project, almost like a bridge between the earlier angst tyler and the later albums.
Considering how good the instrumentals were, to improve the overall album from what the instrumentals alone would be quite the feat, but Westside Gunn certainly does not do that
Freddie has some of the best beat selection in the entire game
Edit 80->70: YOD1 is better imo. Going back i enjoy this album less.

Having 200 verses on one absurdly long song as a tribute is amazing, i love it. I can't hate this album for that reason.
Like all the other songs with hundreds of feature verses on one song, the quality of the verses are.. inconsistent. That's obvious and unsurprising, it'd be nearly impossible to not have some bad verses, but I wasn't expecting how bad the mixing would be.
Of course, people are recording these verses all over the world with completely different mics and ... read more
Better than their debut imo. I love the sound there's no way you can tell this album came out this year. I reckon this group can make an all time classic album if they try something a bit experimental with the sound of their next album, adding modern sounds to the classic soul.
It's tyler, obviously it's good, and I need some more time to fully decide how I feel about this album but from first few times listening it's definitely not as good as igor and flower boy is also better. I'd say around the same as CMIYGL overall, except Judge Judy and Balloon and the sexy redd feature. All of them are not great
I’m not going to pretend I didn’t find this tape through the fact that Momma’s instrumental is on here. Momma has always been one of my favourite instrumentals from TPAB so its cool to hear that. There are lots of other interesting instrumentals on here also. Some are honestly just really messy and hard to listen but heaps of them are really cool and good jazzy and fun listens with heaps of depth to them. Good tape overall.
