I feel brunos huge hits have overshadowed his more recent work, with this being a great example. I barely ever hear people talking about this album, even though its great. It also continues to grow on me with every listen. Cant wait to see what these two do in the future.

Edit 85->90: This is one of those rare albums that are pure joy to listen to from front to back. Amazing vibes, great mood. Love it.

Overhated, a decent fun debut project. Sweet def my favourite song. Pop rock sorta stuff isnt really my genre so i think the rating was inherently brought down due to that.

While occasionally the beats portion of 'beats, rhymes and life' get a bit samey, the rhymes are great as ever. While maybe not their greatest work overall, 'Beats, Rhymes and Life' still delivers high quality music well worth listening to.

I have been a huge kanye fan for ages, and even enjoyed vultures 1 for what it was. But this is shit. Shout out to ty for trying to save it but this shit sounds unfinished as hell and even the tracks with potential are still pretty arse.

It's sad to see what kanye has become. Listening to college dropout or late registration after this is just depressing.

i prefer their earlier stuff but still decent album

Cant quite decide between a 75 and an 80 for this album. Production and samples are great and the rapping is great also but for some reason something seems a little off between them, like they arent perfectly melded together into one song. While all the elements of the track were great a lot of the time, often i found it hard to get fully immersed into the album like i could with Alfredo, for example. Sampha sounds so good. Going in i was expecting to be able to notice a little bit of inexperience but this is an amazing EP with very very little flaws
