Don't really feel like writing a review for this so ima js say fuck you Adam bolton
The final album of tribe.. I love these guys. Busta rhymes also delivers as always and consequence is back. For some reason the first disc of this album reminds me of Untitled Unmastered?
Rip phife
Filler? Sure. But it's great vibes all round
Edit 75->80: This album been in my rotation like crazy. I don't get why i like it so much. It just works.
π Track 6
I'm not a huge fan of the grimy street style rap that's on this EP but the beats are amazing of course.
Yea I also found this from 4:44 but wow this is a great album. Don't see this sound much any more I'm really glad it's still being made.
Got onto them because I heard they had a new album on the way. This album is great, if I wasn't told it wasn't from 22 I'd assume it was straight from 70s soul. Even recognised a few tracks from being sampled in songs I'd heard before (primary weak for your love which was sampled in black&blue by vince staples, which is my favourite track from my favourite album of the year so far)
Eh. Not bad by any means just mostly forgettable. The beats are great tho.
This is so close to being an 80. I think it's just the mediocre second quarter of the album that brings it down. It definitely gets better further in. The 80s influenced second half tracks are great. Favourite is in your eyes, the sax is great. Worst is definitely snowchild. Cringe and flat lyrics and an instrumental with a whole lot of nothing going on.
You have to appreciate the scope of this project. A two hour double album masterpiece of electronic music. From listening to it, there is little to criticise. A few moments where I was brought out of the immersion a little by some.. unexpected parts of songs, but that is bound to happen in a two hour long body of work. The only thing I concretely can point at and wish was different is the sax. I LOVE IT. IT WAS SO GOOD. but it was rarely in the album at all, in either parts. I wish there was ... read more
His best for sure.. reckon it be crazy with a really experienced producer fs.. hopefully a remix or second version drops at some point
Decent album. Only a few of the tracks were super memorable but overall decent body of work. That being said, I'm not super motivated to listen to anymore of kota really soon
It's fine. Some good songs but mostly not memorable. Tonight we party is disgusting tho
The king of flows. I don't normally include the historical impact of albums in my reviews but it's hard to look past how important this project is. Also like how it's hard to listen to the sex interlude that he added in the middle of this album for no reason like wtf.
That being said; you look so good, I'll suck on your daddy's dick
