Decent trap tracklist until it kinda of just dies out over the last 4 songs. Production caries this project a whole lot, but I think he should've leaned a bit more into the rock production elements. Chopping this 16-song project down to about 12 might've served it better.
Favorite Song: TORE UP
A collection of b-sides + remixes from his album last year, mostly just fan service and a victory lap. A decent tracklist and features, it's an entertaining listen if you liked Micheal.
Favorite Song: HUMBLE ME
$uicideboy$ still going on a great run, another solid album continuing some themes of their last solo LP, along with a mix of their older stuff. But that's the problem
It feels like they are just settling into a sound, almost like a B-Side. Not trying to stretch outside their comfort zone. It's still a solid set of tracks, but I would like to see them vary their production and push themselves to experiment more.
Favorite Song: Kill Yourself V
Fun and ambitious project to capture a 90's sound while bringing in some new ideas. The feature list is interesting, and work out most of the time. The project is brought down mostly from the runtime, there was quite a few songs here that could've been left off to make the whole thing feel more concise, although the vibe it brings from front to back is immaculate.
Favorite Song: MiNt cHoCoLaTe
Big highs and lows on this one. There isn't a particularly bad moment on here but there is some duds, along with having one of the best songs this year. Worthwhile collab and listen.
Favorite Song: Like That
An interesting collab between Harry Fraud and Ransom. I had this recommended to me, previously never heard of Ransom. This guy totally delivers. A super consistent 20 minutes of your time. This is one of the better rap releases out of the year, I kinda wish it was longer.
Favorite Song: Live from the Roxy
Some fun summer beats, but feels like a whole bunch of alright songs, with not much standouts. Still not a bad listen, but I was starting to get a little bored.
Favorite Song: Witchy
Good return to form after Scaled & Icy. Although still not as compelling as Trench was (thematically), the indie rock jams are still catchy and worth checking out.
Favorite Song: Overcompensate
A much needed update to Gambino's untitled, unmastered esque album 3.15.20. Some of the songs that felt incomplete had parts added that fleshed them out a lot better. Still not the best Gambino project but there is still some fun ideas and tunes scattered throughout.
Favorite Song: Final Church
Didn't know this was coming out, but was really excited to see a previous Injury Reserve member doing some solo tracks. It plays out very well, this album feels like it has a lot of passion behind it and its rough around the edges, but I keep coming back to hear the unique ideas.
Favorite Song: Dizzy
Didn't know I needed Mike over some trap beats, but now I want more.
Favorite Song: On God
An interesting collab from James Blake and Lil Yachty. Something I never thought I would see. It ends up delivering some interesting concepts, but might've been better with a tighter track list or more fleshed out ideas.
Favorite Song: Midnight
A much anticipated return from ScHoolboy Q, and he delivers. Taking this long of a break from putting out an album always rears different outcomes, but Q delivers a large slice of great songs. Hopefully more to come in the future.
Favorite Song: Foux
Straight up drill and trap bangers. The producer crafts literally some of the best beats I have heard from this genre. Chief Keef delivering some of the most energetic flows he has spit. He had a lot riding on this release and it turned out well.
Favorite Song: Jesus
Stellar collab project. Conductor's boom bap beats hit hard over boldys expertly crafted lyricism. I would take another producer x rapper collab from either of these guys anytime.
Favorite Song: Terms and Conditions
Crazy genre blending of expirimental hip hop and art pop. It creates a really unique experience of an album, every song in here has a completely different sound, amazing for just being a mixtape. The wall of noise here perfectly fits Quadecas unique vocal additions.
Favorite Song: U DON'T KNOW ME LIKE THAT
This is basically everything I don't want out of emo rap. Soulless and lacking any real emotion, and a hidden feature from JID (his worst ever)? I see why he wanted to remain uncredited. This should have never released.
Favorite song: N/A these are all ass
God this project is so cool.
Anderson Paak. just continuing his string of great albums, and fully produced by Knxwledge too. This album added on top of a lot of stuff missing from Yes Lawd!, a more improved and revised versions of both of the collaborators here, with 8 more years of experience under their belt. Along with the addition of well chosen and implemented features, this album feels like an upgrade of a project that was already great. Not a single skip on here.

Once again Mach-Hommy delivers another bar filled album, showing how he's still one of the best underground rap artists. The varied production is a lot of fun on this album, definitely a bit more accessible than some of his previous works. Well picked features for the provided beats, definitely check out if you were a fan of his previous works.
