really solid album that expands on the best parts of the experimenting Rocky did on Testing. not too fond of the sh4l -> playa run and whiskey - > the end but it isn't bad. just not to my liking.
75 - > 80
nvm I mess with most of it now, crazy how much this grew on me in just a day.
80 -> 85
wow okay changing this again I fw the whole album now. there are some tracks I don't like as much but nothing here is bad.
fun little comp of CMIYGL era scraps and throwaways. ig House on Fire isn't a thing anymore but the demos are still fire.
somethin about old Tyler production just hits. some of the lyrics are eh, obviously, it's pre-Wolf Tyler so he was just saying whatever, but overall it's a pretty fun era of his music to look into. at least listen to Toilet Milk.
the 3 bonus tracks are really good and would've fit anywhere on the original tracklist. happy to finally see them escape local files.
definitely my 2nd fav "early" Mac album. just a real fun vibe going on even if there's a few meh tracks.
(basing my rating off just their 2015-2017 leaks / collabs and confirmed 16*29 era tracks.)
would've been a trap classic and a highlight in both of their discographies if it dropped. Uzi and Carti can still make good songs together (ex. Vetements Jeans, Pass It, etc.) but their chemistry during these years were unmatched. good performances, amazing beats and great energy from both artists.
He Finally Sleeps and Bob's Dementia are beautiful. the later-released demos are cool too and fit on Balloonerism but I'm happy they released on the porjects they actually ended up on.
Decent 7/10 album dragged down by one of the worst middle sections of all time. Puke -> Ass Like That is painful to get through even if i find some ironic enjoyment in Rain Man and My 1st Single. reason i say this would be a 7/10 without the awful middle-section is that a lot of these tracks just sound like they would be bottom 5 TES songs, excluding Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers and Mockingbird.
not the best music ever but really fun listen leading up to Graduation.
really cool idea for a concept album, essentially it being a showcase of why the controversial and rebellious nature of the Slim Shady persona wouldn't work in the modern-day. best example of this is the repetition of shock value lines (example all the Caitlyn Jenner mentions) to a point of the lines losing their impact, essentially forcing the listener to see that it gets old relying on shock value like Shady does.
but, after guilty conscience 2, for some reason, there's 4 tracks ... read more
would've been Uzi's best if it was condensed to 16-20-ish of the best leaks.
kinda inaccurate name since stuff like Just Lose It and Canibitch are on here, but still a nice fan comp. if this was Encore it would've easily been great, not enough to top TES but still great.
it's just better cherry bomb lol. adds in special, new outro blow my load and yellow which all improve the album.
kinda pointless reissue, wish he just released mother as a single instead but whatever. at least the song is on streaming now.
goes hard. probably not gonna come back to it too often but gotta commend the effort.
