From start to finish, vmrrobotic's "nightrunners” is a great EP. Nothing here is especially revolutionary, but it’s been a wild ride listening to all of these songs. Hopefully, it gets as good as this in their later projects.

Meh. This one feels more like a rough draft of what’s to come the following year. Clearly, it starts off well with the title track and “Rock The House”, but the later half - “Latin Simone” and “12D3” - brings the overall quality of the EP down and makes it slightly boring for me. “Tomorrow Comes Today” is an enjoyable project nonetheless, so I can expect more good stuff from Gorillaz in their self-titled debut.

“channel ORANGE” is Frank Ocean’s first full-length LP, and it’s no lie that he does wonders here. Focusing on different themes such as love (“Forrest Gump”), responsibility in the coming of age (“Sierra Leone”), and perhaps detachment from life (“Super Rich Kids”), the album has an incredible lyrical range. The mixing is consistently smooth and the choice of instrumentation is clever and ... read more
