Iceage - For Love of Grace & The Hereafter
91

The first 3 tracks are amazing, and this is their most fun and accessible album to date.

Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane
75

Why are all the instruments mixed like a cave painting, even the drums are not poking out. Dolby audio on apple music can't even save this lol

Friko - Something Worth Waiting For
85

Welcome back Broken Social Scene

American Football - No Feeling
90

Wonder if this is inspired by Ethel Cain's For Sure cover lol

U2 - Easter Lily EP
75

A lot of imprints of Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. Really, really decent collection of songs. Looking forward to their new album!

The New Pornographers - The Former Site Of
76

The title track saved this album, really, it's been years since they did a powerful rock song.

Courtney Barnett - Creature of Habit
83

Her best work since the debut. The progression of the album and each individual song is so good

Courtney Barnett - Mantis / Sugar Plum
100

Sugar Plum is a masterpiece

RAYE - THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.
63

Act I should be removed from this album...

周杰倫 [Jay Chou] - 太陽之子 [Children Of The Sun]
0

Jay Chou threatens to release new music

Ratboys - Singin' To An Empty Chair
82

Burn It Down is so good. Such Built to Spill energy...

Dry Cleaning - Secret Love
75

Cate Le Bon's production style is a blessing and a curse. I'm glad her haunting guitar is able to blend well with the (art) punk sound dry cleaning is famous for. Nevertheless, the album gets duller and duller, resulting a torturing experience.

St. Vincent - All Born Screaming
85

She played a bit safe here. Nevertheless the album feels really smooth and there's no weak points. The industrial production in Broken Man seems just vibrating in a few songs and gradually dissolved into rest of the album. I was hoping it to be heavier on the production side. With the precedence of Strange Mercy, this album serves more like a compact replica

Destroyer - Streethawk: A Seduction
90

Review: Destroyer's solo live at The Lodge Room, LA

Before Destroyer gifted the world with his jazz-fused indie-pop masterpiece Kaputt, Dan Bejar’s Destroyer focused more on folk and indie rock attempts. So it’s no surprise that Dan decided to do a solo tour to play some of the songs that laid the foundation for what Destroyer has achieved today.

The show took place at the Lodge Room, a small venue located between Glendale and Pasadena. The entrance is a small doorway juxtaposed ... read more

Knocked Loose - Don't Reach For Me
75

Every people who only have metal in their playlist should be on a watchlist or something

Dion - Born to Be with You
85

Dion, whose full name is Dion Francis DiMucci, is one of the few active musicians in the "Chaos
Era" of the 1950s. In the United States, where Rockabilly and Doo-Wop are all over the radio,
young people were eager to become the next rock star. Coupled with his father's career as a
singer and dancer, Dion toured with his father when he was young, and was exposed to art-
related fields. Coupled with his good vocal performance, Dion's career was smooth sailing after
joining The Belmonts ... read more

yeule - softscars
100

If I'm gonna make an album one day I'd name the opener O W O

softscars is yeule’s first major label debut at Ninja Tune. It integrates their cyborg identity from 2022’s Glitch Princess with a concrete production. One thing I anticipated the most before going to the show is how they would execute their delicate emotions with the raw sound of guitars. My hobby of visiting setlist.fm has spoiled me with the uncertainty of not knowing what song will come next. However, curiosity ... read more
