So... where is the part where's Dream singing? Oh, in the very beginning? I didn't realize that. I'm being serious. I thought it was some parody by some guy who sounded like Dream. But it's ACTUALLY him. Can we get some bruh's in the chat?! Honestly, if it was sung by some Dream impersonator, he would sound better than him. But that doesn't mean this song is shit. At least it's more tolerable than Mask. Now if you excuse me, I need to take my normal pills.
Good news: It's better than Dream's music.
Bad news: That doesn't mean I'm giving it a good score. At least the chorus is pretty decent.
If it wasn't for Coloratura, this album would be rated below 50. Why are the songs titles in emojis? The expressionless emoji face was me when I listened to this one. When Coloratura came out, I was pretty excited for the album. But they came out with instrumentals that were a bit forgettable (or transitions? If so, they are too many of them) and there's like only 5 or 6 that can be called songs. It's like they wanted to stretch this album to 12, but failed miserably. End off with this ... read more
I really like this somewhat a bit darker 80s tone from The Weeknd. It may not somewhat meet expectations with After Hours, but this album is the reason why the 80s and their music will live on forever and ever.
Favs: Out of Time, Less Than Zero, Sacrifice
EDIT (81 ---> 85): I came back to this a couple of days ago, for some reason, and the songs that I loved initially is even better than ever. This was probably the very first album that I listened to that came out on release in my whole ... read more
Technically the last song is a hidden one and to me, that doesn't count. But this is prime Green Day, right up there with American Idiot. Still like the 2004 album more, but just a little bit more. But those two kickstarted my love for Green Day, and it won't go away soon.
Favs: Well, they all sound redundant (that song is pretty good), but in a good way.
I WALK TO BURGER KING, THEN I WALK BACK HOME FROM BURGER KING.
Seriously though, this album is incredible.
Edit: Bumped it up to 95. Fuck you Brad. Edit 2: JK Brad, luv u, feel better Edit 3: Nope, back to fuck you brad.
I have nothing to say specifically but that it's not too bad at all. I can get behind this.
If this album doesn't get played when I enter hell, then I dont know what will. Still and the last two songs are fuckin bangers.
Favs: Still, The Defence, 27 Questions
heh, lol
EDIT: 89 -->> 87 (Apparently taking the average of each song equals 87 for some reason. I'm not sure how I got 89. Doesn't mean I liked it less.)
It was a good album, until the last two songs came. (Yes, Thunder is listenable, can you actually believe it) They were meh, but the rest of the album I can go along with. It's decent
Favs: Mouth of the River, I'll Make It Up to You, Thunder (fine, laugh at me, idk why, I always loop this for a day once a month, i just dont know why, like the song, perhaps it might have to do with you.)
Shut up, everyone. I giving this a high score and you can't tell me what to do. The best ID album. Every song is great and replayable for hours on end. Except for Trouble and Summer, just skip them.
EDIT: Nah Trouble is fine, it grew on me.
I wonder if ID stuck with this sound they've got. Because this album is the reason why I'm sort of an Imagine Dragons fan for 10 years. And I still listen to it every now and then. Goddamn this was good. Maybe sort of generic to some, but in a good way.
Top 5 (not in order): Amsterdam, Hear Me, Nothing Left to Say/Rocks (does this count as two songs?), It's Time, Tiptoe
EDIT: Took a relisten to the album, and some have grew on me, and others that I have liked even more. Yep, I definitely have ... read more
its midnight where i live and im tired, just like this album when i was listening to it halfway through. At least Natural was pretty good. Everything else felt, forgettable. Yes, the rating was generous, but that's because theres at least a few that i can listen to once in a while. Maybe it's because I want generic songs to listen some days. Idk, thats just me.
Favs: Natural, Cool Out, Love
What do they kids so these days, oh yeah, they call it "mid", like this album.
Better than the first one, that's for sure. The album is an up and down for me, some songs immediately want to skip cause its horrendous, and some that make me go and say, "this isn't that bad to be fair". Maybe there's hope, just a slimmer of hope, that ID could make good songs, but that hope is still very out of reach.
Top 5 (not in order): Waves, TDKYLID, Younger, Sirens, Peace of Mind
Edit: 65 --> 71 This album is growing on me, just a bit
2nd Edit: 71 --> 74 Ok, I think ... read more
