Coco Jones - Why Not More?
80

This is pretty nice. Her vocals & songwriting are beautiful & it wasn’t quite dull as I thought it would be. It’s definitely the best stuff in R&B I heard in a while & hopefully we can get more of vibes like this in the next weeks.

Tate McRae - exes
22

The beat doesn’t match Tate at all. Just feels like a typical hip hop type beat, but messy. Also, the concept is basically her role as sweet but psycho, which isn’t a good sign. Especially in this line “I still keep their number in their necklace”. I hope she’s not being creepy about this because if it does, this would’ve made it 20 times worse.

¥$ - VULTURES

I still miss the old Kanye, who was the goat Kanye, who didn’t sold his soul Kanye, who was the nice Kanye. I hate the new Kanye, who is the mean Kanye, who makes the tweets Kanye, you ain’t got the answers Kanye, the new “president” Kanye. I wish I can meet Kanye, but with the nice Kanye, who had the mom Kanye, the college droppy Kanye, the late reg Kanye, the grad Kanye, the 808s Kanye, the Fantasy Kanye, the Yeezus Kanye, the Pablo Kanye, who does I Love Kanye, the ... read more

Nicki Minaj - Big Foot

Wow, what an epic fail!

Wiz Khalifa - Kush + Orange Juice 2
74

Not gonna lie, I actually like this album. Even though Wiz isn’t the best at being versatile throughout an album, but still can make some bangers, he does well with his flows & lyrical content to make this stick, very crispy for sure. Yeah, there are some parts that can take it down, but there aren’t so much as what most of the bangers I got here.

This probably might the best stuff from Wiz right now.

Kygo - Whatever
29

These two are some of my favorite artists & hearing that they’ll be collaborating is exciting. But unfortunately, this is a major disappointment due to a major sample. It just feels like they thought of a good idea to make something nostalgic, but hearing this type of stuff in music nowadays, especially in the electronic/dance scene, it’s not a surprise that this is just an automatic skip.

They should know better!

Smino - blkswn
82

The debut album from this rapper is pretty stunning. Smino’s spitting the hard knockers bar after bar. Also, his style of rap, soul & R&B really suits him.

Priests - Nothing Feels Natural
69

Although there are some nice rock ballads that rides on by. I just find it underwhelming listening to some tracks.

The Last Shadow Puppets - The Dream Synopsis EP
57

On one half, this has some Killers influence. On the other though, there’s tracks that are really slow & stubborn, which makes wanna to hit the hay.

Mr. Yote - The Terrible Tale Of Scurvy Jones
82

This was a pretty cool short project from this abstract rapper. There were some funny moments & unique production as well.

Eminem - Campaign Speech
62

Breaking news mmkay! Rapper Eminem made a song about politics & he doesn’t look too happy.

Cymbals Eat Guitars - Pretty Years
60

There are some decent features in the mix like the songwriting & the instrumentals, but after a while, it’ll start deteriorating my ears, specifically the singing at times.

Mykki Blanco - Mykki
47

This would’ve been better if it wasn’t so raunchy.

Inter Arma - Paradise Gallows
68

It’s very relaxing & absorbing. Even though this isn’t my favorite album from them, I’ll still return to this.

Ken Carson - More Chaos
45

Even though this is probably the best Ken Carson album I’ve heard, it’s still not that good.

Bon Iver - SABLE, fABLE
89

After the EP, I was hoping Bon Iver would still create something amazing or the same range, gotta say I’m still impressed. His vocals are smooth & the songwriting is pretty sweet. I’m also surprised it’s not bland or overproduced compared to his other work in the past.

Which is saying something because on here, I actually have no issues with this album. So yeah, this might be the best album Bon Iver’s made to date & I’m sure no other album of his can beat ... read more

Periphery - Periphery III: Select Difficulty
94

This is very outgoing & wild. I really went through this with lots of hype because the majority are pretty exciting, clean & since the start I’ve been very impressed. For sure, I enjoy it a lot & definitely had lots of fun with it.

This also might be their best album to date!

DJ Shadow - The Mountain Will Fall
62

This one was a disappointment. There are some interesting features coming into this & DJ Shadow is pretty talented of what he does back in the day. But, for albums like this, he makes them kinda sloppy, where it felt like he thought would step up his game, but it at times doesn’t work.

However, I will say some features like Run The Jewels & Nils Frahm saves this album of becoming a flop. But at the end of the day, it’s just a decent album with a few highlights, even if I ... read more

TTNG - Disappointment Island

Not a bad attempt from the band of these styles. But, I honestly start to faze out after a couple of tracks since some of it are pretty dull.

"While his flows are good, some aren’t quite great & although his lyricism is good, there just underwhelming to me, that’s all."
