Bitch really did take a Detour. Great "debut" album. So glad she is free from that label and that wanker.
My rating is only based on the new songs from the reissue. Yet, somehow this shit is better than the original. Bop after bop. I hope Slayr can keep this level of quality on his new projects coming out this year.
Gutted this wasn't like the rest of his albums. It’s kinda what I expected. There are some decent songs here, but it’s packed with mediocre tracks and some bad lyrics every now and then. I still got a good amount of songs to throw into playlists, but as an album, it’s messy and not up to Peggy’s usual standard.
Didn't love it, but there were some good songs here. It just felt like the album never really elevated itself and, for the most part, remained consistently pretty good. But there's no denying this is a great start for a debut album.
The energy was great. Nothing out of this world but a really solid album and that cover is fire.
One of my favourite albums of all time. There is so much to say about this album. The sampling, the transitions, the energy, the lyrics, JPEG's delivery, and just how polished this album sounds are what make it one of the best experimental hip hop records and even one of the best hip hop albums of all time.
Serji and the bois are fucking monsters! A collection of bangers after bangers here.
I don't get why so many people don't love this. I think the vocals and instrumentations sound beautiful. I love just how Emo this is and Bad Moons might honestly be one of my favourite songs of all time.
Some fantastic lyricism on this album, and there are some genuinely spooky-sounding songs. I think it’s safe to say the album doesn’t have a bad song by any means, but there are parts where the mixing and arrangements get a bit lost or feel misplaced. I really loved this, especially some of the references to the horror genre.
Also, as a white dude, I don't know how to tell other people that one of my favourite albums of 2025 is titled "GOLLIWOG".
Probably the only JPEGMAFIA Record record that didn't land for me. There were definitely some highlights, but there were just too many misses for me to rate this any higher. JPEG has grown so much as an artist, but you can tell from this album alone that he had so much potential. Still happy to grab some songs from here to add to my liked songs. A decent album overall, though.
Just a lot of fun and that 5-Piece Chicken Dinner song came out of nowhere but had me dying bro.
Some of the best and most impressive songwriting I have ever heard. Not a single bad song on here.
I just love the concept for this. Most of the songs here are so well written and the production is insane. I wish there was a film or TV show for this album or something. April is just the fucking coolest person alive. This might just be one of my favourite albums ever for sure.
Man, some of this shit goes hard asf. However, I wasn’t a fan of all the songs here. I think MC Ride’s delivery can sometimes not hit the mark for me, and his voice can get lost in the crazy, loud ass sounds going on. Some songs also felt a bit too repetitive and like they overstayed their welcome.
That said, this isn’t true for the highlights. Tracks like Get Got, Hustle Bones, I’ve Seen Footage, Punk Weight, and of course Hacker were fantastic listens. This is where I ... read more
