Heaux Tales is a very well-executed R&B concept album with wonderful vocals by Jazmine Sullivan. Every track is followed by a spoken word interlude which adds personal depth to the album. Short in length but memorable.
Truly enchanting, wondrous, and lovely. I'm in a state of awe when I listen to the production of this album.
Consistently serene and lovely. Wish I could've enjoyed it more, but each track almost sounded the same.
Admire it for what it is but honestly could never come around to truly enjoying this album.
Little Simz delivers on an ambitious, cinematic yet personal album. Incredible talent that needs to be listened by more people.
A few solid tracks and bangers with Kendrick. But ultimately this album just didn't grab me. Ultimately too much a mixed bag.
Serious contender for AOTY. St. Vincent, at least for me, has been one of the most consistent and innovative artists in music these past 10 years. Every album is unique and profound. Daddy's Home brings a psychedelic 70's sound that I love and the themes carried from track to track are executed amazingly.
Sadly such a massive step down from Melodrama. Songs are a bit bland although the sentiment is positive. At least it was more interesting than CLB.
Definitely not as bold or ambitious as Norman Rockwell, but this album offers plenty of intimate, beautifully performed tracks.
Unfortunately ever since If You're Reading This, It's Too Late I have found Drake albums to be more monotonous than ever. CLB is an honest snooze fest. Not terrible but just incredibly average and uninspiring.
As soon as I saw the album length, I knew this was not going to live up to expectations. Too many bland forgettable songs drown out the actual decent songs in this album.
EDIT: Sorry this album is not as bad as I originally thought. I always appreciate Kanye for following his vision artistically rather than staying in his comfort zone unlike you know...
I did enjoy the overall vibe of this album. However, very few standout tracks can make it feel monotonous at times.
