Gorgeous and transcendent piece of electronic and ambient music. More of a singular experience than a collection of tracks.
Starts off explosive and vibrant. Some great fusion of jazz with a variety of other genres. It does fizzle out towards to mid to the end of the album, but still a solid album.
Honestly, overall this is just a really solid hip hop album. A few really standout moments like Lauryn Hill's feature. The album is at its strongest in its midsection.
The production feels a little too minimal and simple to make an impact. This is a very mellow rap album with some solid storytelling, but overall kind of underwhelming.
Definitely enjoy the throwback alt-rock sound of this album. It also has bits of their post punk sound with elements of jazz. Not one the band's best albums but certainly a unique one in their catalog.
First time I have listened to Armand Hammer or any project with Billy Woods, and I am very impressed with the lyricism and wordplay at display. The Alchemist also provides just the right surreal and hazy production.
Best album from Brockhampton since the Saturation Trilogy. It is focused, vibrant, and personal.
For the most part, Happier Than Ever is a self-assured pop album with solid songwriting and production. Not as thematically consistent, and it does have a few passable tracks in its 2nd half. Nonetheless, I'm enjoying the direction Billie Eilish is going.
A very unique, engaging experimental/post-rock album. Manages to be accessible but yet still sound innovative and challenging at times.
Enjoyed most of it. Some gorgeous tracks, but a few that are a little dull.
Simple, often beautiful arrangement of pop songs. Felt the second half of the album was more memorable than the first half.
Yes it's a breakup album coming from a teenager who used to be on Disney shows. However, I'm honestly loving the songwriting, production, and personality to these songs. I'm not going to lie to myself, this an pretty stellar mainstream pop album.
Another beautifully written and performed album Nick Cave along with Warren Ellis. Poignant and profound.
Benny the Butcher is solid but the songs are a bit formulaic.
