This album is such a chaotic yet complex and epicly beautiful trip, going from the insane drums to the cathartic and loud vocals (or screaming)
There are some details that add to the themes of this album, like how the lyrics read like actual poetry of a failed relationship... but you can barely hear them, so you have this contrast of what Jacob wants to express but ends up being incomprehensible. Your quintessential shoegaze/dream pop album... instantly fell in love with it.
The use of noise with the dreamy sound makes imo a beautiful contrast.
Mad love to this album, the soundscapes of songs like New Slaves, I am a God, Guilt Trip and so, makes you notice the minimalism Kanye wanted to go with this album, the storytelling on this album also adds to it, as Kanye uses all his worst traits and makes a persona out of it (Yeezus just rose again).

A trip through a messed up mind, I'm glad Danny Brown is doing good recently.
The influences of post-punk in this album are fantastic, after listening to Joy Division for a while I revisited this album and I can hear Ian Curtis in some of these beats, like on Golddust, Dance in the Water, and so, even on the first track The Downward Spiral, which has a nasty guitar that sounds like it's melting, damn... only Danny Brown can rap on these crazy beats.
