When I first heard this LP I was so underwhelmed. I was so excited for Melodrama pt 2. I soon realised Lorde would not be providing that unique sound again. Once I removed my expectations, the album grew so much on me. It became its own aesthetic and tropical soothing world. I still find this project to drag out and to be tiring at times, which lowers its value. I love the subtle instrumentation used, and Neil Finn's guitar being used for the whole album. That was cool!

I've listened to this over and over since it dropped. Fucking great work delivered once again.
I'm only here for the Love Goes On remix with King Bladee, loved it btw.
Jesus christ she can't put the slay gun DOWN. Man I love this shit so much it's not even funny. Thank you Charli for saving Pop
You know what, I really like it!
The only songs I can't get behind Bad For Me and Don't Get Too Close. Everything else hits, ESPECIALLY Real Spring, Ceremony, Way back and Selecta. I fucking LOVE these songs. Yea Quest for Fire is better, but come on. Even 3am is a banger now!
This mixtape feels a little weak compared to other projects made by Drain Gang. The production is slicker than their earlier stuff, but it's uninteresting. A few hits on this one, but all together it's just a bit...boring. I still enjoyed it though.

JT's journey to Floptropica was not on my 2024 bingo list.
I've tried to listen to this LP so many times, but could never finish it. It's just so bland and soulless. Also why the fuck is it so LONG??
No but I did finally listen to the whole thing, and well, meh. This is his worst project BY FAR but it isn't awful. It's just a bunch of weak ideas slapped together as an album. I mean on Fuckin' Up The Disco he has a line that says,

Stripped back and cozy. Found his voice a little off-putting at moments, and the energy kept dropping. The sound was cute tho, loved the track A Lizard State.
Great production on this one. I can see the vision of this album, however it felt over-done at times.
The lyrics are hot shit, but man those HOOKS?!
This is like asking CHAT GPT to spit out house songs. A few bangers, but the rest are meh.
The album art is so threatening and aggressive, but the music isn't? I mean hello FALSE ADVERTISING!!! The mixing is better than Gluee but like eh. This is a very weak, half-assed project.
