Loving the soft, dreamy, reverb, rock/post-punk sound used for this project. I don't hate the length, it feels like just enough. Some of the songs feel a bit muddy though at times. Some pretty vocals from Bladee, some solid lines from Lean, however some come off a bit forced creatively. I appreciate the loop back around, love it when albums do that. I love the descending chord progression of Ghosts, and how open the track feels! With the crashes of the drums, and the electric guitar that ... read more
Such a great debut from an even greater band. Even though their sound would eventually, somewhat shy away from this original project and it's grungy dirty feeling, to something shimmery experimental and pop-ier, this early music was still so Gorillaz. The transitions are pretty cool! But again, I unfortunately really like it! The absolute CHOKEHOLD this fucking album had on me in the year of it's release, is just ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the deluxe...
I love this song, it's the mixing that throws me off. The compression is so intense, I feel like my ears are burning off
it's a brat world and you're lucky to be bumpin' that
