The melodies on this thing are really tight and creative but man the gospel church themes are really a no go for me lol. Maybe I should give it a couple more listens but I'm not feelin this too much.

This is so sweet, heartfelt, and full of passion. While I find it to be a bit sonically derivative of some other emo/pop punk outfits, it is not a bad thing. I think this band takes the sound and just amplifies how great emo rock can be. Punchy and satisfying, this group 'gets it'.

It's okay. I feel like it's kind of all over the place. It's also very late 2000s and early 2010s coded. Think 3oh3. Not a huge fan of that sound, but that's just my opinion. I know others really like that sound.
Again and again it has been attempted to take hiphop and mix it with metal/metalcore. I think what surprised me most about this album was the seamless blend of the two and how well it meshed together. Peggy is becoming known as a well known producer at this point. His ability to take the punk and metal aesthetic and mesh it with hip hop here is astounding. Not only does it work, it takes leaps and bounds over most other attempts at such a blend. Not only do I think this album is certified ... read more
Absolutely nutty. These guys have such a distinct sound in the math-rock space. I'm happy to say that this one really stands out as a great math rock album, sporting a tight 10 track run of stellar songs.

On the night this came out I stayed up and listened to the album as I was fighting off sleep. This is the album I had most anticipated for this year. So after only listening to this album and this album alone for the past 5 days, I think I'm ready to spew out some thoughts.
This album works with something it speaks often about - nostalgia. From the first single, "Cheerleader" I was hooked. Man I don't know what will be my most played song by the end of the year, but I have ... read more
Creative and fun I like I like. Better than russian roulette imo
Sam always finds a way to make an album feel like home. There is so much comfort and intimacy in the words, entirely down to earth and wrapping you up in a warm hug.
Whenever I listen to a newer album from an artist I had admired in my early twenties or teens, I almost hold my breath - hoping the artist has still got the magic I felt they had back then. I am sure some artists wish their audience had the ability to listen to an album as a new experience, without the influence of massive hit ... read more
Fantastic atmospheric electronic album, placed me in a trance and stole my soul.
It is clear to me that this isn't just an average pop album to be forgotten soon but more a hallmark EDM album. Charli is out here showing us she knows her shit and can create some certified bangers while being vulnerable and confident. This thing is loud and in your face, it is too good to miss. The pop girlies are releasing some heat this year and it's a treat for all of us.
Bangers: Sympathy is a knife (perfection), 360, von dutch, talk talk.
Everything on here is pretty damn ... read more
