Soulless production, dogshit lyrics and the most annoying monkey-like voice (seriously, that was NOT a good decision, how the hell did someone think this thing was ok to release?) I've ever heard.
8 points because it is technically music and the underlying message of one-hit wonders.
"Trust me bro, Rage is peak"
The peak in question:
To me, it feels like I have to lower the volume and filter out the obnoxious bass to appreciate the instrumentals or lyrics of this entire album, which is not a good sign.
Rage music makes you sound like a psychopath, which can be really cool in moderation, but an entire rage album where you address various complex themes? Nah.
The production was ok? The lyrics were ok? But it was nothing that would make me rate any song in even the ... read more
Let me share a secret first: I NEVER listened to Drake before and especially didn't know about him before the whole beef. I feel like I know Drake more as a person than an artist, which is weird, right? So I felt this was the opportunity to actually listen to his music!
Drake touches on several exciting themes on this album like:
- "Everyone hates me, fuck them!"
- "I have a bunch of money and/or OVO friends!"
- "I hate this person in particular, I want this guy ... read more
Just getting ready for that Iceman album I guess?
Still my favorite track from the whole beef. The whole flow of Kendrick in this song is insane, one of the best I've heard from any rap song! Together with the beat switches it makes this whole thing feel much shorter than it actually is, and I mean that in the best way...
Compared to meet the grahams and Not Like Us, this track also has the most perfect blend of attacks on Drake, not sounding too depressing/personal like on meet the ... read more
Yeah, this album and Dankmus. in general are great.
If you like Pogo's remixes, you will definitely love this as well.
Mr. McGreg = 74
Put Her Back In = 70

Move Your Cube = 69

Dr. Zeius = 76

Mr. Black = 80

I'm ending my Glorb/Blorg playlist with probably one of the more controversial tracks.
Yeah, Krabs was extremely freaky during this track and giving him the hook wasn't the best idea, but both Dankton and Squidward were on fire.
The Christmas beat is pretty good, so I believe 61 is a fair rating because the whole arsehole bar drags it down a lot.
Fully agree with PikachuSnivy57 here, it is a slightly worse version of Mousetrap.
Still really like the Cloud Rap here, but the lyrics are less solid and hinge on appreciating the Pokémon references, which is ultimately less interesting than some nice dissociative lyrics about drug addiction like those of Mousetrap.
Ok, I personally don't really like the beat on this one, but I have to admit: the lyrics are constantly clever.
The Milan bar, the Fallout reference and the Cain/Abel hook go hard.
Kind of a forgettable track imo?
The "underwater, under pressure, underpaid" line is great and none of the lyrics are bad, but I just do not vibe with this one.
Puff was introduced, but most of her lyrics are also kind of mid, and she wasn't even that important in hindsight.
The whole Casino plot line was kind of a dip in quality for Dankton ngl.
A solo track deserving of Squidward
The beat is not that good, but Squidward goes hard as always.
Seriously, the sequence of references goes insane in the first half (from Fanum Tax until Charlie Sheen. The Leaning bar goes hard especially)
Ever since I went for the Platinum Trophy for this game, its soundtrack has been on my radar.
The music of this game is incredibly varied: you have these happy, somewhat goofy songs like A Quiet TIme and The Housebuilding Theme; some absolute banger combat music like Fleeting Joy and American venom, and the beautiful, emotional tracks on this album made by all these wonderful musicians.
These tracks are heard throughout the story, and complement Arthur's and the gang's journey ... read more
The fact this shit is on Spotify is a testament to the apathy of all mankind.
5 points because someone took the miniscule effort of speeding up/slowing down this piece of garbage.
A good beat, a good video with some good storytelling and pretty good lyrics.
While I can acknowledge that this is some of Glorb's best work, I personally like tracks like Ghost in the shell, Vengeance and Eugene more.
Ok, so this album baffles me, but in a good way!
I heard like a fragment from Spotify and was like: "Oh, old-school rap? Sure, this is gonna be nice!"
The entire album is this delightful mix of Gangsta rap and the most porno music I can imagine. It's smooth beats all throughout, perfect for a long calm road-trip or a rendevouz with a nice girl.
The lyrics are decent, kind of questionable perhaps, but definitely this album's weak point at times.
So yeah, Dirty Southern Hip ... read more
While I'll admit this track was kind of meaningless and really different from Glorb's usual style, I think everyone is kind of judging this track too harshly: if you can take Spongebob rapping about gang violence seriously, you can also take him seriously when he is singing about a break-up.
It's decent modern country music, I like it more than STD or The Bottom ngl.
This song is Glorb trying a new persona and seeing what kind of fun they can have with him.
Larry's persona of not wanting any beef means we don't get weird sex bars or vicious attacks.
Unfortunately, the track doesn't hit hard with most of it references and the beat is kind of mid.
It's a kind of prototype for Ghost in the shell, but ultimately it lacks depth.
