This might probably be the best indie folk album ever created.
Although, for me, it's closely tied with Adrianne Lenker's "Songs", this acoustic experience might just be the ultimate embodiment of what it seeks out to represent: The sound of loneliness. Loneliness in a remote cabin in the misty woods, where you have nothing but an axe, a pile of canned food, a dying candle, your melancholic guitar, an old tape recorder, and a dusty suitcase filled to the brim with broken ... read more
I am completely overwhelmed. How is this album real, this cannot be concieved by one man THERE IS DIVINE INTERVENTION ON THIS.
Big review coming soon
I can't even begin to describe the shock that this album left me in. Cool World is a prime example of dynamic consistency, which is a very hard thing to do, especially on a metal album.
Even though I loved their previous work, I feel like this LP recontextualizes all of their musical output as a buildup to this album. The vocals are sharper, the lyrics are more refined and their delivery is catchier, the riffs are more dynamic and unique, and the songs' structures are much more ... read more

My fucking god, this thing didn't disappoint at all. It's a highly diverse, passionate, and unique experience that takes you on such a wild fucking ride... This is the definition of life-changing music. The thing that defines generations and produces legendary landmarks in music.
Jeff's raw singing talent and surprisingly powerful lyrics act as the spinal cord of the album, because ... read more
On september 6th, 2023, at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, the legendary No Wave genre was revived after 45 years of rotting away in their casket... For only 2 hours and 29 minutes.
A new genre has been invented. From the depths of fanservice, everybody please welcome: Pop Metal
Definitely a grower album, and one that you should pay attention to.
The first time that I listened to this I was on my 2hr. walking commute. Although it served as an unforgettable ambient to my very depressing walk, I didn't payed that much attention to the structure and nuances of this album. Although the vibe stuck with me, the intricacies of the music didn't.
The second time that Iistened to this I was relaxing in my bed in the afternoon... And I was absolutely fucking ... read more
Ok guys, pack up your things. This is the end of the Post-Punk movement.
The only scientifically proven way to relieve stress is to play this album at the highest volume your device can handle, in a dark room, with blinking white lights, while naked, and whispering the lyrics, feeling the powerful rumble inside your stomach.
You can thank me later.
[[UPDATE 4/18: ADDED A LONG RETROSPECTIVE AT THE END BECAUSE OF THE MUST HEAR]]
"Los peores 7 peores km de mi vida" ("The worst 7 worst km of my life") promises a dark ambiance under an extreme form of music and overdelivers, giving us a masterpiece that transcends genres and language barriers: The textbook representation of sorrow and pain.
This album is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime event. It has:
1. The best vocals ever recorded in music's history: The frontman ... read more
Screamo trully is the best genre ever created. At its worst is a little bit cringe, but still powerful. And at its best is all-consuming, soul crushing, magnificent, and emotionally scarring post-hardcore.
Thank you Ace of Spades for the recommendation!!

So, right out the bat, I really enjoyed this album.
Like genuinely, this project is actually really fun, and I've been revisiting it for the last couple of days. The grunge sound is something that I'm not knowledgeable about, but these displays of musicianship have genuinely made me get on the hype train of Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Nirvana. This is a sound that bleeds, ... read more

Ya'll encouraged me to share my opinions on this album, so I did.

This album is the definition of punk: Pure, true, and unchained rebellion.
Let me explain...
Los peores de Chile is a Chilean punk band that has a sort of legendary status. When the dictatorship period ended in 1989, our culture, economics, and customs slowly crawled out of their iron cage of censorship and conservative values and opened themselves to the world, just in time for the Indie Rock explosion and the beginning of the internet. (I actually wrote an essay about this.)
