Mike Patton and his buddies did here a truly "Tomahawk" sounding piece of work. A little taste of their kinda experimental rock, some tribal and folky sounds. Would work good in movies about burning witches and cannibals. I like how it feels like a little adventure, reimagination of few familiar old sounds. Not a masterpiece but I'm sitting here wondering why Tomahawk never got much of attention it clearly deserves.
I kinda want for King Gizzard to create another album telling a ridiculous fever dream of a story/ies full of sick guitars
My first 0 on this site ❤️
I'm not even gonna waste words on that one
Echoes making appearance on the Birthday Boy? Whole album is surprising me all the way, but that one's my fav bonus thing
I'll just drop my thought that title track honestly kinda sucks.. don't know why they went that way of all. Maybe thats just my first impression, album could be decent actually
Depeche mode being all cute and fluffy, I can see a small 4-bit game in the background while listening to it. There's a bit of synthy nonsense mixed between decent tracks, it feels like a loose concept of a concept of how they want to sound, but I don't blame them, need to start somewhere.

Indeed, it is. I can't speak about this album in the context of Deftones other work, my first touch with this band was not.. great, I didn't really liked them. But looks like first impression doesn't need to be the last one. Lately I've listened to "Around The Fur" and "White Pony" which made me change my mind, so I've expected to enjoy this particular album too as singles were great. But I'm really surprised to say its so far my ... read more
There are synths in my uh- metalcore? Whatever, occasionaly angry record with lots and lots of grooves, I love the general Idea, style and mashup of genres but honestly it could have been executed way better. Some guitars and vocals are lacking, highs are pretty high but that doesn't apply to whole as there's few of pretty mid moments, I think "Obsidian" way too often embraces easy solutions and thats just conflicting with the whole concept.
But is it fun? Yeah, it is
Its like a bunch of kids have discovered Mr.Bungle, Queen, Ween and then mixed it up with squeaky pop rock for some reason. Its overly quirky and theatrical, to the point its kind of messy and somehow boring for something which appears to be so colourful. Its not that bad, but it have annoyed me a bit twice at least and whole album at some point made me feel like I'm simply stuck with it..
Well, I still need to give some credit for "Ruler of Everything", Its amazing.
Im just after a relisten, while this was a very random pick on my first time, I didn't expect half of what this EP offers, can't say much about it in the context of the genre, I've never listened to anything similar and it keeps getting better and better. Touching this (for me) oddly pleasant soup of electronic sounds can be a major shift for my taste, it gets me curious about the artist and whole genre. So if I'll get into techno, trance and breakbeat or whatever, I'm ... read more
Days is an unique album, dreamy-jangly pillow-time sounds wrapped in a soft, warm blanket of innocence. Real time machine, as it transports you back into more careless episode of your life, 40 minutes of being somewhere else and thats absolutely amazing
There are only two ways to grow your muscles:
1. Go to gym
2. Listen to Metallica
In shortcut I kinda disliked the way "Wonderful Rainbow" made my ears bleed, about "Hypermagnetic mountain"? I like the way it makes my ears bleed..
