Im not sure if I am sad or angry that Humanz could have been like that.. lets just say that I am disappointed. Aside of me rolling around and being annoyed about stuff that can't be undone, I kinda wish for Gorillaz to do a similar thing once again in the future, its cool and really fun.
There's not much beyond slowed down summer jams, maybe few great tracks and pretty clear direction. Step up from Humanz as it actually does have an idea how to execute itself to be at least a pleasant project.
Deserves wayyy more of recognition, I can see certain people being absolutely in love with it. There's a certain charm, sense of style and clear personality, enough to make a stand-out memorable listen worth its time of the right person to pick it up. Its lush, laidback, groovy, dreamy but not overly soft. The good, cold pillow in the hot evening kind of an album.
Ya'll gotta check this amazing, obscure underground metal band I've just found. Can't believe they're not mainstream
So, PPC is hitting a big time, eh? Not only they have released probably their best LP yet this year, but they're going to drop a second one so soon? Damn, I hope its not just a "hype extender" beacuse they have just set the bar high for themselves and expectations are big for sure. Well, I can't wait already
I don't think I can grasp this album fully just in one listen. Right now Im only sure about "I Appear Missing", straight up one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard so far.
Very nocturnal and eerie sound, its really cool but could have been way better honestly, QUOTSA clearly had problems reaching the level of their last 2 records, doesnt mean its bad though, its a stylish and interesting album that will satisfy fans without doubt. My only issue is how its losing good flow and balance on the second half, so it feels longer than necessary.. Still, relistenable
This album's gimmick is being nasty. Aside of that, I love these "mechanical" and rusty guitars, it sounds like there's a lot of crack and sweat, a truly hot hot hot record
Never thought I need some mean-funky-synth-dance-rap-hip hop, but guess Tyler knew better
The greatest form of Nirvana cult I have ever bumped myself into, I would feel ashamed to name this LP as another in grunge explosion, beacuse its competent enough to stand proud on its own. Its a very creative concept album about pretty mid band hitting a temporary bit time, its full of killer tracks, good songwriting, grooves, emotions and its got absolutely amazing flow.
Deffinitely wayyyy more than just copy(cats)
