Jesus Christ this album didn't really age well. I remember a time when I really enjoyed this release but now I can't really stand it. Instrumentations are fine but the vocals are grating on the ears coinciding with the incredibly shallow lyrics creating a very unenjoyable experience with very few highlights.
A bunch of grown men wining that people didn't like their god awful album. A fall from grace they have yet to properly come back from.
Waaayyyy better than their first release. A very raw and dark experience from the band that made them stick out more compared to other bands that were releasing at the time. However it does fall a part a little bit in some places which keeps me from rating it higher.
One of my favorite albums of all time and so far the best Deftones release. Good mixing, great lyrics, and a very surreal experience at a lot of points. I come back to this album too many times to count. Listen to Passenger or Rx Queen, both are equally fantastic.
