Mitski - Puberty 2
72

Didn't expect that

MGMT - Loss of Life
73

Very nice, not their best. A bit of a mess from song to song but it still works. A good vibe overall

bbno$ - bag or die
67

I wish it wasn't all such goofy, low effort rap trying so hard to be funny, I feel like there's actual potential here that he refuses to tap into. But at the same time, its just meant to be a fun album, not serious.

Yeat - 2093
76

Actually listened to a full Yeat album and didn't feel the urge to skip any songs, amazing. A big step up. I think some of these songs are seriously well produced. The album flows well too

MGMT - Little Dark Age
80

Better than Oracular Spectacular... more experimental and satisfying to listen to.

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
73

U TRIED THAT THING WHERE UR HUMAN is a somehow the least listened to track on this thing, but is really good. Overall great.

JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs
82

Must listen, unique masterpiece

Tame Impala - Currents
85

Amazing listening experience, with a beautiful unique sound and great lyrics

Mother Mother - Grief Chapter
73

Probably their best sounding album to date? Not as iconic but production wise its really clean and enjoyable to listen to. No urge to skip any songs. Pretty different for them, trying new things in a good way.

EDIT: Managed to see them live, very impressively preformed one of the best live music experiences I've been to in a while, very surprised, so extra point for that.

I really encourage anyone who thinks this album is great to read my thoughts here...

Ty's detached Auto-tune and lackluster vocals, combined with Kanye's ego-driven production, result in such a messy and directionless album. Despite ambitious elements, such as expensive production and experimental sections (mostly thanks to the talented producers and writers hired, NOT JUST KANYE), the final product is boring both lyrically and musically. The lack of chemistry between the artists and ... read more

Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
75

Not my type of music, but damn I didn't have the urge to skip a single song, all of them are great. Can obviously tell this was a hugely influential album; can hear so many parts that were used as samples in other songs. Definitely a must listen

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
70

Really ahead of its time. Although it is very satisfying to listen to, it can get a bit boring, wouldn't see myself playing some of the songs like Moonchild ever again. But just because of how unique and ahead of its time it was, it'll get a higher rating from me as I feel like it definitely is impressive. Really love some bits of it too, and how raw and real the instrumentation is

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
75

Listened to this for the first time with Sony XM5's, walking with my best friend during a sunset on a hill, with a blunt. Perfect listening conditions. Really great album, felt like one big song, was surprised how much time had passed when it was done.

Kanye West - The College Dropout
80

Such a confident, fun Kanye-sounding album, definitely worth a listen with some serious bangers and fun interludes

JPEGMAFIA - Black Ben Carson
72

A little bit of a drag compared to others but this still sounds great, definitely a bit of an acquired taste though, I think as a first listen without already enjoying jpegmafia's discography this isn't the best. So I would only recommend this album to people who really enjoyed his other projects

Mitski - Be the Cowboy
70

Went in with lowish expectations, came out a fan. Very surprisingly great, and impressive production.

Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain
75

Great album. Vaudeville Villain slaps

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES
96

[🎙Seen Live] UPDATE: This is one of the few albums I can constantly relisted to and it somehow gets better every time. It is so full of detail it is so hard to get sick of. Bumping up the rating, and I will not be surprised if I do it again. This album is so good I wish there was more. Danny Brown has fully grown on me now and feels very important to the album

First review:
A wild unhinged crazy album that left my ears ringing in a good way somehow. Danny's voice is a difficult to get ... read more

BoyWithUke - Serotonin Dreams

Decent production with painfully dull writing and lyrics; catchy but dull and each song sounds the same. This one was definitely more of a cash grab. The reviews are extremely harsh though and bias, it is still a one person attempt at an album, and I hope it improves, but it is pretty dull & very uncreative.
