holy sh*t, what a trip!!!!
This album feels like a lucid dream that slowly gets deeper until you finally wake up. The use of samples is something that would never be repeated; the amount of songs, commercials, shows, and even internet videos is fantastic (it's pretty noticeable that using so many samples was super complicated back then).
Vibey, emotional, I don't know what more I can say about this masterpiece in music history.
Every time people say 'rock is dead,' I just wonder... Have they even listened to this gem of an album? Probably not.
Where do I even start?... This album is a whole journey. It's like Neil Young met up with the most indie scene of the 90s. It's honest, emotional, so simple yet so complex. For me, this album could easily take the crown as the best of this year... though it's got competition, and a lot of it.
