Listened to this album recently again, And I thought I’d just write how good it is.
The journey that Raznor takes us for is diabolical and unsettling. I always loved themes like this (hence my love for horror movies) and I always felt strangely related to the album.
This man is just a genius, he perfectly captured the feeling of going mad, every song here is meaningful and even songs you’d consider bridges, are for me relistenable every time.
This is one of these special albums ... read more
I think I liked it slightly more than than the previous album. It seems to have more to offer, a lot of very fun riffs from Johnny, synths that sometimes are very loud for some reason.
Thoms voice seems to also be on level again, If they are to record new Radiohead albums I think Johnny and thom are all warmed up.
Also foreign spies is so beautiful, it is definetly my favourite songs here. Simple and beautiful.
What an album to be honest. Feels like a one big thing, and the entire albums overall is like one long song. I love the blend of styles, from death metal to more clean breakes, to even I’d say king crimson type of moments, this albums just keeps on giving every minute.
Riffs are dope as hell, especially when they do them with pinch harmonics, FACE MELTER FACE RIP
Just an amazing album with an amazing flow. Love it
Man I just love this band so much.
Most bands that would go for pure ambience, I’d call boring, or rather not my type. BUT Godspeed you! Is almost addicting I’d say. It’s like I can’t lift myself away from listening to any song that I play from them.
The sound they do is just beyond captivating, sadness that notes they play, makes me hooked to the album like it is a drug.
This album is no different when it comes to that feeling I get. Given the background of that ... read more
What an album to be honest. Exactly my vibes.
It’s like a mix of black metal with some sludge/doom music with a pinch of bands like opeth. Alcest.
And also it has that vibe that a lot of Icelandic bands have. This is like „the war on drugs” for metalheads. Long hauntingly beautiful songs with sometimes mid vocals, but damn do the instruments make up for it.
Loved it, and I will definitely comeback to it
It is definitely better than their last album, which was just bad if you ask me (outside of colornatura or sth like that)
While sounds this album produces are what might sound basic, song structure is at least somehow entertaining.
I really enjoy when they make songs that take their time. Their longer songs are why I give this album something closer to 70 than 60. YES I KNOW THIS ALBUM IS NOT AMAZING BUT IS SOLID, and I am happy Coldplay sounds again less radio and more music

If the bends and ok computer had a child.
Solid material, but I am glad they at least tried for a time to do their own thing. Up until viva la Vida I can confidently say Coldplay was onto something and had genuinely good songs, and what’s also important, their own style.
But it was interesting to check their beginnings
Bigger stronger is such a banger tho
Overall a very solid album, but I did not find it to be very outstanding. DT seems to slowly fade into being a band that makes very similar albums to each other. Which is not necessarily bad, if you are a fan you will definitely love it, but I as a from time to time listener I will most likely come back to different records for same experience.
I don’t have much to say anymore, amazing riffs, good song structure (although few songs are very similar) good vocals, drumming as per usual ... read more
Not gonna bother writing much, I will just leave my achievement here again. Cause why not.

Consider me a profesional Radke hater
Yeah, this is certified powerwolf album. Yeah shit is corny as fuck, it does sound as every album they did, but I had fun listening to it. Yeah as an album experience it does get boring, but it wasn’t VERY annoying, and songs are overally solid. But as opposed to my review of dream evil, I don’t have Less sentiment to powerwolf, so the rating will be lower
The rating might be a bit sentimental, since these guys were actually one of the first metal experience I had. (Yeah pretty random band but still, they somehow found me).
So ueah, this is a pretty good power metal experience, riffs are powerfull, pretty heavy, bass is buried in the mix, drummer is your typical power metal drummer. Sometimes vocals hold songs back for me, it’s like he tries to be rob halfrod, but without vocal range.
Still songs go pretty hard, best I can describe the ... read more
That was such an amazing experience. I even forgot I was being a fan girl for opeth 41 minutes ago. It is just such a well done album, raw beats played on drums connected to like one mic go hard as fuck, electronic beats are groovy as fuck, And whenever guitars pop in, they just steal a show for me. Lyrically it’s still amazing jpegmafia staff, weird, a bit creepy lyrics, just suit the style of music perfect. This MF just can’t miss as of right now.
Someone forgot to add „gay pop” guys, she is a creator of that, don’t forget it, she is the new original wave of music!
I get it is their style but jeez How much can you go with the same thing? Only track that somehow stood out, for no reason I’d say is ambien slide, but it was still the same song we have heard on previous albums. It’s like they have one song and they just change few things here and there, and we’re done, we have new album. I could skip half of the album, and I would not miss a thing (I know ambien slide is in the second half, but if I ever have mood for cas I will just play ... read more
Yeah I loved it, listening to it at 3 am might have boosted the experience But I still believe this is very well done mix of ambient yet catchy sounds, that create overall beautiful experience. I especially love that songs go beyond being just a pleasant ambience, songs structure is done perfectly.
I enjoyed instrumentals a lot, I’d go even as far as to say they overshadow Gonzales vocals. Not to say his singing is bad, but it’s not the only thing I am supposed to focus on, entire instrumentals are amazing. Gonzales vocals blend perfectly with instrumentals to create this beautiful sound.
I just wish songs felt less repetitive but it wasn’t all that boring.
Surprised to say that I liked a country album. Production is amazing, vocals fit just so well, guitars are very beautiful played, yeah this is a nice and pleasant experience. I might need to change my opinions on country lol
I will be doing king gizzard full discography listen, will post my thoughts and shit. I really love petrodragonic apocalypse, and I fucking love it. I got interested since I learned they had a lot of shifts in their music style.
First album, while definetly being a bit rough at times, is definetly something I could enjoy. It does sound unique, has quite a catchy vocals, westernish riffs, and a lot of crazy chaotic moments. It has that noisy, in your face punk vibe, it is very distorted and ... read more
