I couldn't come up with this team up even in my dreams on melatonin overdose. I mean yeah last lil yachty album was going into this direction, but it this album hits home for me. Just a beautifull sounds all around with amazing production to back it up. Songs have a lot going for them, little things to spice things ups, I just love it. It sets up tone, and it is perfect album to just sink into the bed to. Love it, I will definetly come back to it A lot
This is really how I imagine people who don't like music expect music to sound. Chat gpt could come up with this with enough simple instructions. thank god It was so short (but it did feel like an hour and a half anyway)
I don't think this album is as strong as kodama or ecailles de lune.
This albums is full of beautifull moments because of amazingly put together intrumentals, but I found it lacked THAT something the previous albums had. This albums goes more into shoegaze'ish sounds, rather than metal, and I believe album lacks these more heavy moments. Songs don't feel like an experience, yeah you like the sounds you hear, but they don't blend well into one amazing experience, something ... read more
This is easily MY favorite hip hop/rap whatever genre similar album of all time.
I don’t have much to say, the beats, the vibe, overall flow of the album just sits so well with me. I always find myself coming back to this album, and this is just one of these album, you just love, and I really don’t care if I overate it.
Yes I also wish opeth would go back to growl vocals, BUT I do also believe in cauda venenum is slept on. It is just amazing prog rock album.
This album, is for me easily the best album so far in that new opeth era.
Generally songs could use some shortening, but I do still love them.
This album has amazing moments, with amazing instrumentals, cool riffs, and a lot of beautiful sounds. While songs don’t hit as hard as blackwater park or ghost reveries, I do still believe this is amazing ... read more
Writing review on opeth, so I don’t appear so dead on this site recently lol
Another album some of my favorites of all time. And disclaimer, I only believe this is 95 because atonement is for me a very whatever track.
(I intentionally skip damnation between deliverance and ghost reveries, since damnation has a completely different approach, and isn’t really a death metal prog)
Anyway what a way to follow deliverance, this album is true descendant to blackwater park. Deliverance ... read more
The first half of the album is my favorite tool work (outside of parabol/parabola) ever. Heavy, groovy, makes amazing atmosphere. The first half meaning up until the pot. After it I had a tough time with songs. Later „right in two” clicked instantly with me. Being honest I will give that album 80 just for the songs that I love.
Ps. Lateralus did click better with me. Maybe with aenima I will get tool as a whole.
A bit late here to the party.
80->85. Yeah the album grew on me quite a bit. It is very personal, behind the wall of simple pop. I appreciate it a lot. And I don’t know why I felt as if the songs were rushed. They are not. I must have been high or something.
Easily the best pop album this year… so far
I don’t believe the bar is set all that high. Songs sometimes feel rushed, but I absolutely forgive them for this, since this album is a lot of about energy. It feels ... read more
Wished he stayed doing his own thing, rather than swaying into making songs that sounds like the foreign countries production, but to a worse effect
It's solid I guess, but overally a tough album experience, songs are pretty similar, and overally don't say too much.
I had a "What the fuck" face for entire 31 minutes and 8 seconds, did not understand single thing, still loved it somehow.
first 2 songs (not counting intro) I can't even explain, just imagine baby metal with heavy drug addiction mixed with alcohol, and something different.
Later songs calm down a bit, and let me tell you, if they are still bat shit crazy, and you know I love it. They more of jazz mixed with rock (heavy drug addiction rock)
Not much to say, I enjoyed it.
This is my 4th tool approach. This is just the band I could never personally get into, like, it never could click for me and
It still doesn’t, although After two listens, I still think about coming back sooo, maybe it will soon? I mean I usually forced myself to listen to this album, now after the 4th approach to this band, I am finally willing to play their songs myself.
Anyway, there are still tracks that just don’t do it for me. I don’t count interludes (I love them tho) ... read more
Well that is one solid debut album.
I love how for the debut album, it is experimental at times, and generally doesn’t feel safe.
While it had few lows, especially tracks like „best tears of your life”, with weird vocal direction, it is still a solid album through and through. Starting track also didn’t click with me.
Indie sound of guitars, groovy bass, amazing drumming, with a lot of little ideas like synths in the „not everybody gets to go to space” or ... read more
If someone ever asks me, which album do I prefer, — crack the Skye or leviathan— and I had to answer, I might just get stuck in infinite loop.
This is their best shot at concept, prog metal album, maybe it’s not ultra heavy, you do still hear signature mastodon sound.
Before the music I must appreciate the “concept” of an album, I mean just how much drugs did they take?

I did not really bother to leave a review of this song, but I did leave a hate comment under the video, and actual tech ni9e answered some random ass guy (me)

I really do believe this is a 100 album. Yes the lyrics are goofy and edgy, BUT DAMN THE SONGS ARE SO FUN.
This is my go to album if I need some fun music, to make myself feel better.
No song does make me feel like they should have skip it. Every little riff is so cool, every melody is just badass, keyboard guy absolutely kills it, drumming is underrated here, it adds so much groove, and changes riffs so much. I wish bass was louder.
Whenever I listen to this album, I just can’t take ... read more
Still to this day, only record from this band that worked from me.
They are, of course, just amazingly skilled musicians, they have just amazing skills, technique, just tight, tight tight! My biggest problem is their riffing style, that has a problem born from my last sentence. They usually feel way over the top. Like they make riff purposely hard.
Other bands, like Dream theater, while still having very technical riffs to play, they are still something a listener can make sense of. BTBAM ... read more
This is just an amazing experience, a very melodic one. I just really, really love it, atmosphere, strong structure, melodic riffs, and the overall vibe are just, man I can’t even put my fingers on it. It just clicked, one of these albums that I didn’t have to give time, first time listen and already loved it.
Aeon needs some love in death metal community.
I just love it album, it is as death metal as it gets, riffs are amazing, just straight into your face, bass, well I can hear through a phone speaker, drums, just blast you off. And the production is just killing it.
If you love death metal, definitely check this guys out.
It's in overall a good experience, 32 minutes, no time to think or reflect too much.
Album is full of catchy songs, with very similar directions, which is not bad, it just doesn't make me want to comeback to this album as a full experience, but more for a few songs, to feel that 2000s' vibe again.
Instrumental are the best part, even though, they do get tiring by the end, since songs are soo, sooo very similar.
Songs are also, well, indie pop songs, short, so it never feels as they have too ... read more
