Clairo - Charm
NR

The flow and delivery of her vocals are so fun to travel with.

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
NR

Some serious quality on this album. Since I'm culturally disconnected from the material on this album, I found the substance a bit repetitive. I wouldn't listen to this album front to back again ever, but I'll probably pick some songs up for sure.

Remi Wolf - Big Ideas
NR

Nothing too crazy, I came looking for her work after hearing Photo ID. I really liked how she used her voice to decorate the song, I didn't really see much of that over here. It's good music, but it's still pop.

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
NR

thank you for all the good music mac, you genuinely had a way with your writing.

青葉市子 [Ichiko Aoba] - Luminescent Creatures
NR

Listened to it once, didn't think much of it, can't recall much either, might come back to this after some time

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
NR

twigs has developed a very impressive ability to incorporate Bjork elements in her music.

Blending in that with a lot of futuristic dystopian elements made a super fun project. I like how expressive 'Chillike Things' is, I don't get the hate.

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV

'The Battle of Evermore' explains themes of the album so well I have no idea why it's so low rated, the vocal layering is so impressive for the time, and for our time as well.

Overall, what an amazing project. The recurring roaring guitars on 'Black Dog', the insane drum fill on 'Rock and Roll', The vocals on 'The Battle of Evermore', need I say anything for 'Stairway to Heaven', the 'OH BABY BABY BABY' on 'Misty Mountain ... read more

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz
NR

It's so awesome to see how Jane has evolved over the years with the music they're making. I love seeing the 2hollis influence on this project as well. Glad to see Danny Brown on here, time and time again he's expressed his love for Janes work.

The most enjoyable rage-blend I've had the pleasure of listening to, can't recommend this enough.

Floating Points - Cascade
NR

Was working on my assignment, the drums kicked in, I danced for 30 minutes and went to sleep.
This sounds like the Smash-Hit soundtrack on steroids.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX

so fucking fun

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA

Really admirable honesty. What is art without intimacy and individuality? Thank you Tyler for being you, please continue being yourself, I will be consuming what you create at every turn.

Tyler was def inspired from how Kendrick delivered MM&TBS, the themes line up. His productions singularity and organic nature improve further, I love how he picks up elements from his previous projects. arpeggiating digital waves from the initial trilogy, horns from CMIYGL, vocal mixes from IGOR.

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU

Usually the best musical projects are ones that don't really sound like music. Blown out drums, Roaring guitars, barely audible vocals, irregular song structures, unbelievable samples, all put together in a blender at max speed.

2024 has been an incredible year for music, front to back, there is an incredible album for every month of the year. Most of my favourite projects, have defined a very good soundscape.

Associating this to my design course, a topic of form and space emerges. ... read more

Geordie Greep - The New Sound

what a flex of musical knowledge

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk
93

One of the most impressive soundscapes I've ever heard. Album cover goes hard as well, really suits the sound. Developing an atmosphere like this is really not easy, as a producer, this is a very intimidating project. The production is incredible, vocal performances and texturing work really well, no complaints. I haven't completed processing this album completely though.

Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: NeX GEn

you guys are on some joke ting if you think puss -e is 67

Iglooghost - Tidal Memory Exo

kinda miss the super high vocals but it's still fire.

Gareth Coker - Ori and the Blind Forest (Original Soundtrack)

it's diverse in the sense that some tracks are just kind of forgettable and some have total control of my goosebumps.
