The production is shocking, how they manage to blend jazz, rock, lo-fi with dariacore ( eg: on the tracks lean beef patty and Fentanyl Tester ) is amazing.
this was my first Björk album, and even though it was quite a few difficult listens, I enjoyed it with every listen, I just grew to appreciate it more and more over time. Absolutely wonderful production. Although, I feel like I still lack the complete understanding of this project.
I had a love-hate relationship with this album for quite a while now. I never understood how this is considered the best Radiohead album, when there are like much more interesting concepts played out on Kid A, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool, etc. The strongest argument anyone has to offer for this albums greatness is that "It predicted the future" and "It was talking about what we are living in today" which is certainly an accomplishment, but that does not change it's ... read more
It's weird, it does not feel electronic at all; it's nowhere close to Aphex Twin, Floating Points, μ-Ziq, Squarepusher, etc. . I'm having a lot of fun with it
Edit: 5/3/23: Yeah this is mind blowing stuff, every track feels so organic and three dimensional, it's honestly wonderful.
