Turnstile - GLOW ON

The first half felt flat and uninspiring but the second half really picked up for me. Definitely planning to come back to this with new ears.

Genuinely so attracted to this groovy, cozy album

Cool to see Zack Fox taking music in a more serious direction. I like the sound of this EP depsite it borrowing heavily from Thundercat as an influence. Also "triflin'" sounds exactly like a Francis and the Lights song. Would have liked to hear something more sonically unique. The production is pretty good and overall it's an impressive work. Not bad at all, this makes me excited for future releases. Also I kind of really like this cover.

Dear LORD I Dream Of Chrome is so wet. This album is a fun listen but mostly just for $crim's beats. The vocal performance failed to deliver and on some tracks were completely washed out by the production imo. But yeah I Dream of Chrome is an amazing song oh my god.

Edit: On second listen I Dream of Chrome sounds more like an average playboi carti type beat from a sub-5k subscriber youtube producer, but something about it being unlike the typical SB sound makes it feel so refreshing and it is ... read more

I need this off-beat, poorly mixed disaster injected directly into my blood

This is one of those albums I had to spin again immediately after my first listen. It clicked with me instantly and is mind blowing to my brain. AAAHHHHHHH. post-avant-prog-asmr rock

John Cooper Clarke - Snap, Crackle & Bop

I enjoyed it until I couldn't. Something about his single pitched monotone talking yet yelling waluigi ass voice didn't agree with my ears.

Lil B - Trapped In BasedWorld

The opening track Svefn-G-Englar is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Since it connected with me soo much I was anticipating the remainder of the album to be just as ascending but it wasn't. The rest of the songs were definitely good to very good but toward the end of my listen I was having trouble staying focused and enjoying it. Highly possible this is because of my immediately high expectations. Great album.

Bratmobile - Pottymouth

I can't tell if it's good or bad but I like it

"nice review man. i think that's part of alex g's appeal - his weirdness and unpredictability. even on this album there are some pretty funny lyrics. also his live shows seem to be pretty unique (although i have never been to one) and his fan base seems to really enjoy that aspect of him."

"Yes I think I became immediately biased for this album after hearing that 13 second intro track."
