Every track exudes such distinct character, painting as vivid an image possible of a cyberpunk dystopia void of the neon and chrome we associate you might expect. Was completely obsessed with this album when I was 16 so it holds a special place in my heart to an extent.
Aged like milk tho, whole thing is a ball of cringe with Propaganda being the one highlight, a track so ridiculous and bizarre that it actually works.
Not groundbreaking but a really promising return to form, love to see a solid change in direction after the last couple albums.
While I personally prefer the more raw sound of Laugh Tracks, the artistic growth in regards to songwriting and lyricism here is undeniable.
Whether taking aim at the rich and powerful or organized religion Knocked Loose pull it off with a ferocity and conviction that are rarely seen in modern metal and punk, resulting in a refreshing set of bangers and my personal AOTY for 2024 so far.
