The new brockhampton album is the culmatation of the more pop rap and r&b styles that were showcased on ginger being mixed with the original hardcore hip hop style that they had coming into the singles from saturation 1 and 2.
This album is centered around topics of suicide, social justice and general struggles of life with the centerpiece being built around the idea of reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. Although this conceptual angel of the album is entirely messy and not ... read more
yeah its amazing post punk that sounds like the nervous inner workings of a 20 something. It switches perfectly between being manic and destructive to beautiful so yeah this is the best thing ever.
A MAN IS HIS COUNTRY YOUR COUNTRY IS YOUUUUUU. The john l single is more brilliant black midi off kilter nauseas post rock so thats brilliant. Despair is just a relaxing vibe track so yeah great single listen to it lmao.
I had alot of fun with this Comp. It's a really fun punk comp with shredding and witty lyrics. The voice is offputting to someone like me who is used to punk being with the emo inspired voice but this is just regular singing and its amazing and carrys so much power behind it. The production on this is much better than the songs album appearnces as well as the way songs flow into each other one after the other which is lovellly. This is so much fun I love it lmao. This is an amazing punk album.
This album is full of brilliant rap and singing and fun songs with a overarcing theme and story that dosen't amount to anything simply jus cuz. It dosen't feel like it's building up to anything and some of the songs reek of this pop rap style that makes the emotions hes trying to put across feel disingenious. Thats probably why he made a r&b album straight after this lmao.
brilliant album, listen to it bcus the bleeps and bloops on this one are fucking orgasmic.
This is very subject to change.
This album is an avalanches album so it's full of sample fun but it doesn't have the perfect blending of sound textures or the ability to convey it's message to you in a clear way. The album is about eternal voices and musicians going forever but it's sorta hard to tell. The whole album has some weak production and uses a very samey palette of synths and stock ableton plugin bass sounds which makes the album feel mushy and forgettable. These songs just don't ... read more
The first glass beach album is a masterpiece of indie emo and manages to capture my attention in every single moment of the album.
This album knows the exact mood it's going for. Have you ever played a water level on mario galaxy? imagine that vibe but indie. The album has some very long songs that are sewn together with shorter tone transition songs the emotions that the singer can bring out of you and the absolute tightness of the instrumentals which feel so purposeful and calculated ... read more
just gonna talk about this like its waste yrself and dc snuff film together with the bonus tracks. This is my comfort album for when i'm sad and no other album perfectly encapsulates the rock bottom sadness than this. Every track isn't a winner but godamn when ur in the mood this thing will hold you like a baby. Each gritty lo fi guitar and vocal line feels purposeful and brilliant. It's their best project for me.
Amazing album better than any griselda album. just the best gangsta rap album of this year. bloody brilliant work conceptually.
dosen't need to exist. really boring jam instrumental parts with shallow lyrics.
