This is the smashed plate album. It feels like your just constantly struggling with yourself and wanting to get better but constantly setback and feeling useless. Everything in this album feels so tastefully executed, rav manages to weave together some incredibly challenging subject matter in the most mature and calculated well. This album feels brilliant in it's way it represents the feeling of everything just breaking in a moment. There isn't a lot of material here which makes it quite ... read more
Good flowing quas project with the best beats out of all the quas albums. His rapping is easily dismissable but damn these instrumentals are amazing.
Anime, Trauma and Divorce is a very intimate walk with Open Mike Eagle where he talks to you about his issues and what he's doing to recover from his past in a very soft spoken voice while u sit down on a bench in autumn. The album is so perfectly timed it really feels like everyone on the planet has had this breaking experince over this quarntine and hearing Mike speak about all of his issues and his new hopes really makes you feel alot better. the album is brilliantly sequenced starting with ... read more
Theres not much to say. Some pretty good singles and some lackluster bonus tracks. It's a return to form but it's a new form and the further they get away from their conceptual roots the further away i get from being interested in them again.
Really fun and consistent album for hiphop, it's jam packed with fun moments and choatic dissonance that makes you smile when you hear it. The album feels quite moody and oppressive in a fun way which sounds tonally contrasting but comes out perfectly as the album seamlessly transitions through each track wether that be the smooth flutes of sure shot or the punk rock of sabotage or the weird mongolian throat singing sludgefest of bodhisattva vow. Each instrumental track on this album severs to ... read more
They made the same album again, and it was really good.
K.G. is volume 2 of the bands microtonal series. This volume features a focus on different singers other than stu with joey and ambrose of the band singing on a lot of songs here. This song features turkish house bangers, regular psych rock insanity and general good performances all around. Theres nothing particularly spectualar about the songs presented here but the bands need to constantly keep putting out good consistent music is ... read more
Aesop Rock is a incredibly technical wordsmith who has come down to bless us with another one of his haunted creations. Spirt World Field Guide is pinned down as an album about the potential situations and useful information that you may need when going into the spirit world. Really this is just a abstract rap masterpiece detailing parnoia induced verses and brilliantly expressive wordplay displaying sceneary of decrypid feroists and the detoiriating interior housing that he lives in. Aesop ... read more
yeah i love this now. The samples and just absoloute stupid dumbass energy that radiates off every secound of this damn album is damn enjoyable. Each sample just perfectly blendes into the next and the energy brough to it just makes it more enjoyable than most hiphop thats ever been out.
Rapist and Abuser music
Embarrsingly trash. I dont fucking know what the exact bar was but at one point he says I kill everyone take no prisoners and theres a massive pause and he says except women and children. Thats shit was just embarrassingly funny.
Future Funk. Hit Vibes is a collection of sampled up future funk tunes that are exciting and feel like a funky Entroducing. Each sample chop just makes you want to dance or just creates a massive relaxing vibe. You have the more danceable tracks which are always fun like the SLAMMIN "Better" which is just a funk banger with a sample chopped chorus which makes u want to dance. You have the more relaxed song Cherry Pepsi which you could also rave to.
Sadly the record dips off a bit ... read more
This is the latest synthpop album by future islands which features this 80's bass tone and brilliant mature deep singing of mr hemlock ernst. This album has some of the best singles ever and for sure, born in a war and moonlight are gorgeous brilliant 10/10 synthpop songs that bring out so much emotion in me when I hear them. On the contriary the 5 songs packed into the middle (I knew you to Plastic Beach) is incredibly bland with the slowed down emotional cut of city's face which dosen't do ... read more
Hey my dad made an album and it's actully pretty good. It's just a nice chill electronic album.
"woah kenny" "trench foot is just an extreme version of the stanky leg". This is all the motivation you need to listen to this perfect work of art which will transcend you. Honestly i just really like how it sounds.
Obviously an earl protege. Just absoloutely wonderful abstract hiphop, just makes you smile listening to it. Just some brilliant abstract hip hop that falls instrumentally into the same area that standing on the corner occupies with sunny guitar samples and organ spikes falling onto heavy 808 beats. Badnews and 5500 are just brilliant songs everything here is a bop.
idk im just sort of bored by it. Really woozy rnb tunes that has some standouts but most of the time it falls flat in captivating me and making me feel any other emotion other than boredom. I really want joji to make music that makes me feel emotions and engaged but it just dosen't happen. Overall sorta alright check it out if your a fan but I don't care for it at all. To many woozy choruses.
Really catchy pop metal that sounds brilliant in my ears. Just love it all around. It dosen't particularly come off as a gimick and its short enough to not outstay its welcome. Just a really fun album all around that i would reccomend to anyone to listen to. Just check it out homie.
