Undeinably amazing album. Brilliant british indie rock. Just wow it's really godamn good, shame on any other band who tried to do there style but failed completely.
Just really nice tunes. They have an incredibly unique sound thats really funky and feels like eating a marshmellow through your ears. Brilliant stuff.
This album is 50 minutes of what sounds like the same exact guitar tones extending the same piece of music for as long as they possibly can. There is no fun guitar noodling, excelriating drum solos, beautiful breakdowns or fuzzy bass solos. It''s 50 minutes of the same exact guitar tone and bass tone that mushes together. Each song is not distinct enough to mesh apart from the rest so it feels like 1, 50 minute long song the whole way through the album. As each minute passes you feel as if your ... read more
Yeah its really good singer songwriter stuff that can come off as sorta cheesy sometimes but it's got a good charm to it. It's really a gut punch for some people and i just find it wonderfully airy. It's quite good but there isn't much for me to say about it.
So lyrically dense that it's a treat for any Aesop fan but some of these songs just fall flat entirely. Defiently a headphones album. listen to this if u love dense milo esque lyrics.
I have no idea how to start this.
So every song mike has this terrible flow and just isn't rapping up to any standard we've seen him at before. All of the charm of the old streets production is gone for this mish mash garage trash which sounds off-beat but not in a good way in a like you can't mix your snares way. Theres these terrible auto-tune hooks throughout that just sound abysmal and add nothing. The features all attempt to save the album but overall don't really add anything, the ... read more
Nowhere as good as the last one. Forggetable as hell. Listen to this as a beat tape.
Brilliant modern conscious hiphop with some brilliant instrumentals which mix old school sampling with modern beat work and some genius rapping. Quelle Chris is just so much fun to listen to and this album is a testament to how brilliant he can be when he goes conceptual. Oh yeah and all the features slap.
Best Tracks-Guns,Obamacare,Straight shot, Wild Minks, Box of Wheaties
Worst Tracks-Everything after Obamacare because it feels like he went of the concept.
It's like if Watsky was popular and properly made it. Godamn strange. Personally I can see why the instrumentals are brilliant with chopped up samples and drenched saxophone and that rnb piano stuff but I cannot see how u can get attached to his personality. He doesn't do anything for me and that's the begging and end of it. I know one thing for sure, he's not a saviour of hiphop.
Best tracks-Wet dreamz,'03 Adolescence
Worst tracks-A tale of 2 Citiez,Note To Self
Yeah its a amazing album full of poignant social commentary on capitalism and the position of African Americans at the current moment that is so scarily in the now that it feels almost terrifying that it was recorded a year ago. Shits always been happening, just now that we are seeing it.
Bars Beats i don't have another word. Listen to this masterpiece.
It feels weird to say that this is Watsky's masterpiece when as an album it's quite the mixed bag. This is a pop rap album with an incredibly nerdy rapper which brings this brilliant charm to every song he's on. He's like an absolute nerd in approach but you absolutely believe that he knows exactly what he is doing and that this is what he wants to do.
The album finely loops which is where the concept comes from. This concept is barely explored and doesn't actually seem to serve a meaning so ... read more
songs were a bit short but the experimental beats and features turn the album into a brilliant masterpiece. Please make longer and more in depth songs though I PRAY.
I made this page purely so I could preach how brilliant this album is. Pure fucking brilliance. Sounds like some madman went and made some bops and thats what happend. I love this.
Sorta one note but we get brilliant production over a star cast of abstract rappers
