Her's has become one of my recent favorite bands and the little they've released has impacted me greatly. Their sound is incredible and I wish they could have released more.
RIP Stephen, Audun, and Trevor.
Some really great classic tracks but a bit of a mixed bag after that.
Again the vocals are not good. Band doesn't sound as good on this one. Production is lacking. I'm actually starting to dread the upcoming album now.
Reminds me a bit of Don't Tap the Glass by Tyler. May not be the artist's best work, but man is it cool to see artists like Danny Brown and Tyler, The Creator not ever doing the same thing. They constantly push their sound into new territory and I love them for that. This was still a fun listen and much more bright and positive than a lot of his previous work.
Not as impressive as his previous albums. Tame Impala still captures an essence of his incredibly consistent reputation. Although no song blew me away. It was cool to see where Kevin is mentally and it was still an enjoyable album. The expectations were high, and although he didn't deliver completely. The album was still a good experience with some great tracks. It was also cool seeing Kevin experiment with genre a bit more. The album is different from his previous while still sounding ... read more

“K-L-O-N Los Angeles, KLON Radio
We play the songs that sound more like everyone else than anyone else
KLON.”
The opening statement to this album is contradictory in a sense. KLON is a play on the word Clone saying “the songs you’re about to hear sound like anything else on the radio.” But instead of being greeted by a nice pop-rock track, you’re greeted by one of ... read more
I feel like I've had a lack of reviews lately. I've been busy with life and all its changes. I was feeling very burnt out from music, I honestly haven’t recovered completely but listening to this made me realize that patience is key with music but also reminded me of my love for music at the same time.
TLDR- My favorite video game soundtrack of all time, you don’t have to like Minecraft to appreciate the pure beauty of this soundtrack. Any music fan can appreciate it. It transcends ... read more
Thank you, @SnowyFighter for the recommendation! It's awesome to see you were a part of this EP!
This EP packed a punch! It had this punk attitude while bringing its own flair. It was a fun listen all the way through but I especially loved the second half where it felt like they experimented with longer format songs which paid off greatly.
Overall a very enjoyable listen from front to back. The first track throws you straight in and keeps you there for its run time and doesn't let go.
MGMT, their a band that needs no introduction. Most people have at least heard of them. Especially through this album and its big three singles. and the more recent track "Little Dark Age". I was introduced to MGMT in 2019 through "Little Dark Age". I liked that album a lot and was surprised that for three years after listening to "Little Dark Age" I never checked out any more of their stuff. In fact I never heard the three big singles on this project till I ... read more
I’ll be honest this review isn’t about the music or album itself. It’s about a problem I’ve seen arise in places like rate your music, album of the year and other online forum communities. People can’t seem to have different opinions. I haven’t actually given the album a listen but regardless of what I think of it, people should be able to voice their own opinion without feeling attacked. Unfortunately the internet isn’t so nice. But I hoped that the ... read more
First paramore experience! I must say it was great! The contrast of sound and lyrics make this project especially interesting to me, covering many heavy topics in a broad sense but also personal sense to the band. While the sound of the album gets you to dance. I'm looking forward to checking out more from them.
Trying to listen to some artists that released in 2023 so I can check out a few more 2023 albums before the new year.
Wow, this album took a while to get through. I've been sitting with this album for a solid week and I finally finished it. It was definitely worth it though. This is my first experience with Sufjan Stevens and it was a great one. I decided this would be the next album I'd listen to once Javelin, his most recent record, received a lot of positive praise when it came out this year. The theming and concept of the album are what truly stood out to me. He is one of the most unique songwriters I've ... read more
