I was pleasantly surprised...

wowaka - アンハッピーリフレイン [Unhappy Refrain]

One of the most unique and compelling experiences I've had, although the vocals were a big hurdle for me. I understand the vocals needed to be like that to create the fast pace of the album but it gave the vocals little emotion for me. That's made up for in the music however, every song conveys a certain emotion extremely well.

Daft Punk- 4/4
They were here and gone in the blink of an eye, what daft punk did for music was something special. This album feels like a proper final album and I don't think I'd have it any other way. They made the music they wanted to make and when they didn't want to any more they hung it up. I wish some musicians and bands nowadays would do that.

The album is a great blend of all their sound as well as a tribute to the music that inspired them. Although a little bloated with maybe a skip ... read more

This is more than music...It's a journey. Hopeless, desolate, cold, completely hypnotizing. Multiple times I was completely lost in the sound. I was everywhere and nowhere all at once. This is the environment that I was placed in when I listened. It's a cold night in the desolate ruins of what once was civilization and after I seek shelter from the cold I find an old record player with this album placed on it ready to be played. As I drop the needle all I can imagine is a desolate wasteland ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST

The culmination of Tyler’s career so far, I decided to relisten to it before diving into the estate sale and I got a whole new level of appreciation out of it, especially after checking out some of his older tracks like Yonkers and Smuckers. This album is just incredibly consistent and has an amazing vibe throughout the whole thing, you just can’t help but feel BLESSED.

Panchiko - D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L

Everyone mentions the backstory when it comes to this little EP and for good reason, if you haven't read about the backstory for this EP I definitely recommend. The soundscape of this album is very pleasant, it sucks you in with the first track and eases you out with the fade out of the last track. The chill aesthetic works very well and the backstory for this EP only increases the feelings you get listening to this album. Melancholic, Nostalgic, and Spacey with plenty of different feelings ... read more

Talking Heads - Talking Heads: 77

Whimsical yet simplistic, the introduction to one of the most unique rock bands to date. David Byrne even on this album has such a unique style to him and his lyrics, this is only the beginning. I did prefer the second half to the first with songs like no compassion and psycho killer overshadowing most of the first half. However despite that, this album is a good representation of what's to come.

Daft Punk - Alive 2007

Right after I listened to Human After All I wondered whether I should just go listen to RAM or this live album and I don't regret checking this out one bit, this is amazing. The fact that the remixes felt like the songs were made just so they could be made into these remixes. It was crazy how well everything blended. One of the best live albums out there.

Daft Punk 3/4-
Some growing pains, especially after the masterful discovery but it seems like a transitional period for the daft punk duo and definitely was still an enjoyable listen with some great tracks like robot rock, technologic, and make love and this album is definitely overhated because I found myself enjoying it more than the ratings would lead you to believe. The production of it was very raw, more so than homework, but homework is a much more essential album to daft punk but also ... read more

ARCTIC MONKEYS DISCOGRAPHY FINALE- The Car
Well we finally made it to the end of the AM discography and it was, well it was underwhelming at points it was great at points but I don't think I ever disliked an album by them. SIAS and The Car are probably my two least favorite as they have the least listening value out of all their albums but both are pretty inoffensive albums. But the moments they shine they really do like with their debut and FWN and I even find myself revisiting TBH+C and ... read more

Daft Punk 2/4-
Shortly after I listened to homework for the first time and enjoyed it an idea came to me where I should rerun through all of my records I've given an 100 so far seeing as I haven't listened to much music in the grand scheme of things and I'd say I'm pretty generous when it comes to 100s. Well the idea came about because of this album and my desire to also run through daft punk's discography.

With no doubt in my mind this is an 100, this thing is incredible and every positive ... read more

Daft Punk 1/4-
This is a fun collection of tracks by daft punk and introduced the world to them by giving them only a taste of what's to come on future records, this record still houses some of their most acclaimed tracks like Around the World and Da Funk which are still joys to listen to. As a whole project it is fairly consistent but suffers from a bloated run time and some pretty boring tracks in the second half but as I said previously this record is humble beginnings.

ARCTIC MONKEYS DISCOGRAPHY #5- Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino
This was a bold move for Arctic Monkeys and honestly it was the right move, this is brimming with so much more creativity, clever lyrics, unique production and a way more unique sound that sounds way better than their past two albums. It took me a little while to get around to this one because after AM I thought they would just be boring especially after listening to SIAS and AM but this thing was pretty concise and enjoyable ... read more

KENDRICK LAMAR DISCOGRAPHY FINAL- Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
I've been going through something, these past couple of months and I finally decided to make a final review on Kendrick's Discography after putting it off to process the experience that is Kendrick's discography. Every single album felt like they built off of each other, in someway it rewarded the listener for listening to the albums that came before it. Section 80 felt more complete with GKMC, GKMC was whole through TPAB, TPAB ... read more

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)

Everything about this was great, the somewhat nerdy but pleasant sound, the amount of inspiration it took from other genres of music like grunge, folk, metal, etc. makes it a great listen all the way through with zero skips honestly. I was expecting this to be ironically good but now I can say it’s ironically and unironically great.

Radiohead - Hail to the Thief

Thom quit your whining

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

This project at first didn’t seem to special but the unique and emotional way of its expression through the vocals and music has such charm, it gives me a sense of sorrow but also a sense of hope and nostalgia that I’m glad I was able to experience something before it was gone. Really great.
