Definitely one of the most beautifully written hiphop albums I’ve heard in recent years.
Armand Hammer are back collaborating with The Alchemist and well it’s starting to hit me that, the reason these two have been on such a great run recently is because they’ve been experimenting with a lot more new sound, which doesn’t sound great when I say that this album does not experiment with anything new.

Way less reliance on synths for the production, but damn it sounds oh so good. Getting heavy Fiona Apple vibes on Black-Eyed Susan Club. This is very different to anything else they’ve made, and honestly I’m down for it.

honestly kind of a pathetic excuse for a director’s cut. I thought Manic was cool, nothing special. ey man it’s cool that he did this but I just really don’t care for most of the songs on here. it’s a lot of stereotypical YouTube music, and by that I mean it’s very inoffensive and safe. head shot lowkey a banger tho even if I didn’t like that second half that much.
Well it’s definitely better than their last project. Instead of hardcore noise rap, we get a straight up pluggnb trap record and let me say, it’s really solid. I genuinely don’t understand that hate on this album, it’s groovy, it’s silly, and it just simply goes hard. The production is very bouncy and fun, the lyrics are well.. still corny but atleast now it’s bearable. The sound of this album elevates the humor and vibe they were going for. Just fun.
sure there are some fun ideas and grooves here, but damn there is just so much corny, unnecessary, and just straight up garbage for you to get through before you can reach the standouts. The last two tracks are definitely a standout. As someone who enjoys noise rap, I think the noisy parts of this album were the worst for me. the banger to dud ratio is surprisingly not as bad as most reviews on this site want you to think it is. i guess my biggest issue with this album is after 21 songs, all of the songs just start to feel like they’re blending into each other, and slowly but surely the banging house beats just turn into yet another four on the floor drum loop.
